It's buried in the shed by snow so I went out and spent some time reading it a story about it's new adopted sister.

Well lets see, First off I road to work today on the KLR. Nothing eventful just a ride to work. Now after work is when the fun began....

Going down the highway, 65 to 70 light to heavy rain, bike starts to get loose and dance around. I think it might be the road and lots of water, OH No not getting better. WOOPS rear goes 100% flat and I am almost thrown from bike!!!! rear is swaying wildly from left to right I stand up and put all the weight on the front as I grab the clutch and lightly apply the front brake (hoping to take the sideways motion out of the rear) it works and I am down to 15 MPH and thank the gods no one runs me over. I manage to get to the side of the highway (3 lanes)   I call the wife who is waiting for me at a local store with the kids, she comes and picks me up. We drive to house for spare tube and tools. I get dropped off at bike and push it down the closest onramp and into a parking lot. Wife meets me at said parking lot. Soon the KLR is on its side and the rear rim is off. I pull the tube out and check for cause of flat. Nothing found other than the valve stem is torn off the tube. In goes the replacement tube and back goes the bead on the rim. I air up the tire but it will not hold air SHIT! I call work and a bit later there is a para-transit minivan there to load up the bike. Yes you can fit a KLR into a modified chevy uplander. I for one did not think it would fit. In about 30 min the bike is in my driveway. Dam good to have friends in the right places.

So in a rap up, I fixed a flat but not very well and still made it home with the help of friends  Bigok

Yesterday I finished my GSXR1000 coil-on-plug conversion by wiring up the front two cylinders (rears were done about a month ago).

Today I installed my new waterproof voltmeter:

I've watched it sit there in the garage for the last few days as I backed the car out to go to work. We've been getting in some early morning and late afternoon hunts in at our local duck pond so hauling decoys, waders, and a shotgun on the back of the FJR just isn't in the cards right now.
