Tried to take the EX out for a ride over the weekend but when i dropped it in gear the motor would stall. It was doing the same thing in spring when i found the clutch switch was bad. I'm thinking how could it go bad so soon. Eventually tracked it down to the side stand switch. Jumped it out and problem solved. (new switch on order) With a bike that's 23 years old you'd kind of expect that.

Well let's see. I raised the ride height almost a couple inches, added some dirt bike bars and some semi-dual sport D616 rubber.

This is the first phase of what I'm affectionately calling The 919 Transalp Project.

I like it, how rugged are you trying to get with 919?  I've taken mine down plenty of fire access roads and maintained dirt roads with a set of Pilot Powers on it, worked great.

Same here - mostly touring but I want to confidently meander down an established dirt of gravel road now and then. No single track stuff and no 60mph whoops either. I really like the "GS" rider position too. I test rode a 1050 Tiger that pegged my little fun meter. This 919 is very close to the Tiger for half the money.

FMF Q exhaust on the KLX300SF. The exhaust is now open enough to take advantage of the engine mods , yet quiet enough to not alienating everyone within a 1/2 mile.

Fixed the leak on the EXs rear tire. I broke it down, didn't take it off, cleaned up the wheel and remounted. Didn't work. It was the paint coming off the wheel EEK!. I couldn't figure it out. My favorite dealer 3M'd the inside of the wheel and rebalanced, cost $0.00, priceless. I wish they carried more manufactures.
