My first video
Put away, heavy sigh.1st video, yeah I know crappy. I'll go to directers school. The FJR sleeps down in Syracuse. I can't get it up the stairs and it wouldn't fit thru the doors to the dining room anyway.

I have an awful secret to tell; I WASHED THE GSA TODAY

OK I was topping off the oil and spilled some. I wiped up what I could and left the rest. I headed out down the coast and over sone real fun roads to do some Christmas shopping. When I made it over the hill and into a more metropolitan area I spotted a self service car wash. $6 later the GSA was clean.

THe bike is clean but somehow I feel unclean.

The EX500 has officially been put to sleep for the winter.

Put in the stable, drained the carb bowls, pulled the battery, and put in the shed.

New rubber on the FJR.

With the temps we're having (40's when it should be in the upper 20's) it looks like i will be taking a ride on Christmas day before dinner and football. Also next week is going to be in the 40's to.

Been getting some cam chain noise so it was time to replace the cam chain tensioner.

Had to pull the clutch cover off for better access.

Installed.

Since the clutch cover was off i should check the clutch.

Not bad for 212,000 miles. Service limit is 2.80

FJRs have a dry clutch?

Today I FINALLY put the damned brake pads on the the rear.

Tried to figure out why the grips aren't heating properly. It looks like I need to replace the relay for the switched power block.

It's a wet clutch. Thats the crank on  the lower right hand side.

It's nice having all that room.

Nothing with the bike today, but yesterday I purchased a lot of parts for a bike on the other side of the country. Come spring I may actually get to ride it home.

Installed the FMF header on the 300, mother nature obliged so I had a nice ride.

I watch the FJR maintenance with great interest. I've only performed a few maintenance procedures. Please tell me getting the fairing off and back on again gets easier Embarassment

Checked the valve clearances, pulled the cams, and ordered a shim.

Not mine, but my son's Valkyrie is in our trailer.
I put Stabil and gas in it and ran it for 10 minutes or so to get the Stabil-ized gas into the carbs and stuff.

Other than that, I just admired my 'Strom and ST while I got the can for gas.

the above opinion is simply that of an average middle aged hick with one too many brain injuries... or, don't take it too serious.
