Snowed a bunch last week. The fun parts were still covered with sand. Way more fun than commuting.

I just ordered a set of saddlebag guards, my buds Police bike has them and I thought they looked cool so I ordered a set online. I had them on my last HD touring bike and they looked and worked well providing protection and also a bunge cord anchoring point. Beside it's pissing down rain and I'm stuck "entertaining" for Easter, may as well get something useful accomplished.

Today it was the Ducati's turn.
- Bled the front brakes
- Dropped one of the screws for the reservoir cap and it landed in the bike somewhere @#$%!
- Spent an hour looking for the screw (we don't stock that style)
- Found the screw then spent another two hours wrestling with the plastics (stupid non-naked bikes grrr.)
- Made it to the gas station on fumes without running out of gas.
- Went for a quick 100km test ride. Ahhh. It's a Ducati. All forgiven.

I made this aluminum part for Mr.RC45 today...
Yesterday, I fitted a replacement rear light and mudguard to the Guzzi, after its little accident last week. Got the parts off Ebay very cheaply. Today I found out that the speedo cable is broken (phew-thought the cable was okay and it was the speedo itself) and ordered a new one.
Just waiting for a registration plate and it'll be back on the road.
Today I also worked on the Triumph and fixed a rear indicator. Still not able to find the cause of it missing when warm.
The igniter pick up seems fine...........all I can think now is that there is a broken wire to the coil.............

Check the polarity of the coil wires... sometime you find that the neg and pos are backwards...

My Ventura pack system was delivered yesterday and installed today. There was only one useless illustration on the instruction sheet and no obvious way to identify the parts. The rack went on easily once I figured out what was what.

I took out the Ural and puttered around a bunch of pleasant, rural back roads not far from home. I even encountered another Ural owner at the post office. That makes about seven in CT and one in RI. It's pretty funny when you can count the guys in your state with the same bike on your hands and not run out of fingers!
