Washed the bugs off the front, cleaned the chain, checked the chain slack, and inspected the tire wear.  Sat on it for a moment and pretended to be out riding....  Let out a big sigh and came back in the house.

Added 6.5 oz of Silkolene Pro FST to the tank. It's supposed to be in the low 30's tomorrow am. I hope the humidity is up as well. If so we'll see if that stuff really helps with carburator icing.

Dood, interesting bike. Did you customize it yourself, or was it all f*cked up when you bought it?

After just having washed it, I had to wash it again.  Went for a short ride today, and part of it ended up being through a large swarm of gnats.

I found it, at the back of the garage burried behind insulation, tool boxes, wiring spools, 2 generators, 3 fuel cans and a bucket of drywall screws.
Then I hauled it out and spent 2 hours cleaning it up, lubing the chain and adjusting the tire pressures. Tomorrow I'm going riding. I think I'll go to Montreal and then swing on up into the Laurentians for some fun in the mountains. This could be good.

Changed the water pump oil seal, with no gaskets, in the dark, in the driveway. Hope is a method. Rode the pseudomoto thru town. Hey it was looking at me the whole time I was working on the other bike.

Changed the oil, it really needed it.  Want to go for a ride, but I haven't invested in my summer gear yet, so I'll wait for it to cool off a bit.

Finished a complete rear-end change on the GL1200.  Found that it's front wheel bearings are bad.

Got the Trophy out to clean it up.  (Looks filthy).

My '03 Blackbird came with black wheels; I noticed the newer models in Europe and Australia (not sold in
the US since '03) came with silver wheels and I liked the look. I found a set of silver OEM wheels on ebay
being sold by a guy in Canada. I was the only bidder and got them for $25 (OEM price is about $300, so it
was a heck of a good buy!). I had new tires mounted (I was over due for new rim protectors) and got
them on the bike today after transferring the rotors. I am very happy with the look and it didn't cost me
much $. Picture below (please ignore the messy garage).

I remembered how to ride it... Been riding the FZ lately. Got on my Sportster today and was like, "how the hell do I lean this thing?" I blew a few turns.  Crazy

But it came back to me... and I sought out the twisties.  Cool

I scraped most of the grunge off of mine. It's not clean by any stretch of the imagination but it is less dirty then it was.
