Checked the odometer, calculated the total number of days I've owned the bike, and figured out that I've been averaging 73 miles per day.  Thought that was pretty cool!

I rode as a passenger on the back of my own bike for the first time.  Fortunately, it was not as ego-shattering as I had anticipated.

But it's not something I want to get used to either.

Tomorrow I'm taking mine to meet a friend for breakfast and then we're both going over to take the Experienced Riders MSF course.

I'm looking forward to it. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Happy/Big-Thumbs-Up.gif

Dood, interesting bike. Did you customize it yourself, or was it all f*cked up when you bought it?

Chjecked over the electronics. Again. Nothing amiss but still missing.  Sad

Then fitted the touring seat in anticipation of it working properly at some point.  Smile

I just got back from the mechanic.  Got a full-year inspection for the scooter (till 4/10) vs. matching it to my plate (9/09).

After my in-laws move (mid-May), I'll throw it up on Craigslist.

Till then, my weekends are full helping them (and that's when most people would want to see the scooter).  But then again, my mechanic's uncle (who works for my mechanic) might buy it.  Last Fall, the uncle was saying how nice it would be to have a scooter (like mine) to run back and forth from the shop.  Guess what, man, you can buy mine! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/thumbup-two.gif

Added more Silkolene Pro FST, heh, heh. I've been using it as an anti carb icing additive. I think it works. So far.....

Pulled and cleaned the plugs. Re-assembled the carbs. Realized that the diaphragms and throttle bodies were indexed for correct re-assembly when doing the last carb.   Mad2 Disassembled carbs. Re-assembled carbs corrrectly. Re-routed hoses and plug wires. Put the air cleaner back together. Prayed that I can get it back together tomorrow and that it'll run like a champ.

600 mile service -
Oil / filter change
Chain tension check
cable adjustment
various bolt checks
etc. etc.

I was set to take it in or at least schedule it when I called and asked my sales guy and he said with the hydraulic valves they wouldn't be checking those and other than that it's just a oil/filter change and a once over. That's it. He actually suggested I do it myself and save the cash.
So the mrs. went down got the oil, filter, chain lube, etc and it just got finished up ready for my couple hour run after work tomorrow after work.

Ride the VFR in to the office this morning before the rain started. Then on the way home stood it on his front tire, to keep from t-boning some 40ish soccer mom that was too busy on her cell phone to look in the direction of traffic as she pulled out of the dollar store lot on to the divide highway. I made it, but the pickup in the lane next to me took the bumper and all the lights of the front of the jap crap sedan she was in.
