If you are planning to make a reservation for Gunnison this year, from what I understand, the Gunnison inn is getting full.

I just received a call from the Quality inn - only one person (poor thing) has reserved there for the nights of the national, and there are only 2 weeks left on our block. Just a reminder to all of you to book your room before the deadline.

All information is in the Lodgings thread at the top of the forum.  Smile

There was some question about the Gunnison Inn cancellation policy not being 24 hours in advance.  I never saw it resolved.  What is it?

Cancellation policy at Gunnison Inn is 24 hours for your individual reservation.

Obviously, if you find out you need to cancel, cancel as soon as you know.  Smile

Yep - I called to clarify this afternoon, and she told me she just started a few weeks ago and had looked it up, but I spoke with Charly  today and she said 24 hours was ok.  Smile

I talked with Megan at 8pm Central, and she at first thought it was 48 hours for individual (I think they mean 1 night stays) and 2 weeks for weeknight or multi night stays (which is what my email confirmation reservation also states).  She wasn't sure so she checked and emailed me with the correct info in THIS SITUATION.

It is: they made an EXCEPTION for our group, and the cancellation policy is 24 hours.  After the deadline you are charged 50% of the total room charges.

Also, the still have 3 rooms reserved for our group that have not been claimed.

NOTE:  This is the Gunnison Inn and not the Quality Inn.

Hope this clears things up.

I'm probably the one poor person at the Quality inn.  When I tried to make my reservations at the Gunnison Inn, the person told me there was no rooms left.  I think she must have not known what she was talking about because that was well over a month ago.

Am I going to feel left out by being across the street?

I switched and got the last room at the Gunnison, so the wife & I should be able to make all the parties without trying to walk across the street......

It'll be nice not to need a designated walker... Lol

thanks for the info. looks like I'll just call Quality inn. and get a room.

I'm going to also call gunnison inn and get on the list to.

just made reservations at the quality inn for the 16, 17, 18. so I'm in for this get together unless i find a new job.

also when i talked to Cathy at the Quality inn, she said they are going to extend the group rate and the rooms past the 30Th. she however didn't give me a cut off date. so if any one is still undecided you still have time.
