The riders here at work are planning a burger run to Meers on May 16.  I would like to invite any fellow STN'ers to join us.  Most of my co-workers ride cruisers, so more S/T bikes would help re-balance the universe.  The plan is to meet at the Arby's at Hwy's 4 and 152 in Mustang, Okla.  Stands up at 9:15.  Anyone interested?

If I have enough tire tread left after the Silver City ride earlier in the month a good longhorn burger sounds great!
I'll check this thread as it gets closer to the 16th.

I think I'm probably in on this one Gary.  My dad's birthday part (55 this year) is that same day so it would be the only thing that would prevent me from going.  When I find out what time it will be I'll commit.

Later.

What better way to celebrate a birthday than to go for a ride.  Bring him along.  Just hope he has better luck than the last two times I went riding on my birthday.  The wife wrecked my truck both times.

hmmmmmmmm, I too will be 55 in May (on the 11th) & just may consider this event. I noticed on Streets & Trips that Meers looks to be just a spot in the road so I suppose it will be easy to spot a bunch of bikes gathering.  What's the name of the place and what time is lunch?  I sorta need to plan ahead seeing as how Meers is approx. 240 miles from Fritch.

The Meers Store is just a spot in the road, but it is the only thing there so it is hard to miss.  If the weather is good, there will be plenty of bikes sitting out front.  We are going to try and arrive at Meers between 11:00 and 11:30 to avoid having to stand in line too long.  They don't take reservations on the weekends and it looks like our group could be 20 or more.  Come on up.

obviously, I didn't make this run; pretty heavy rain was falling at the time I needed to leave in order to meet the scheduled festivities and I just really didn't feel like starting out soaking wet.  Had planned to ride the R80 (my 'old' sport bike) today too so I could fit in with you youngsters; maybe next time.  Cool

Don't feel bad, no movement from this end either.  The weather was okay here in OKC, but it was raining pretty good around Lawton and Meers.  We will try and schedule another ride in the near future.

Well my dad's surprise party did in fact interfere.  I got a frantic call asking Jennifer and I to "stall" him from going over to her house to work on some stuff.  So we took him to lunch, the mall, Home Depot, fixed his screen door.  Finally he fell asleep while watching TV at about 4:15pm.  The party was at 6 so we figured that was close enough.  Plus the weather wasn't exactly cooperating.

No new schedule yet.  The hot weather is scaring most people off right now.
