 Lol ...Keep thinking that Randall...

Steve:

I certainly will.  I have another thought: I am very impressed with your back-pedaling skills. I would have to go on a serious steroid regimen for many months to approach your abilities in that area. Smile

That is too funny.  Guy offers up a challenge then backpedals.  Hmmmm......   Headscratch

Very nice Hondas though.  Truly, beautiful creations.  It's obvious those Randakk GL's were made with a lot of TLC.

10,000 RPM?  Why 10,000 RPM?  If this is about the world's fasts GL1000, who cares if he turns 5,000 RPM if he's the fastest?

Steve- are you interested in the world's fastest GL1000 or are you interested in RPM?  It seems to me your whole premise is about "The Fastest", why this insistence on RPM?

That's the same excellent point made by others (not me) on some very large Forums...

here: http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum4/110945.html

and here: http://www.ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32557

One of my correspondents (more clever than me) asked me this very good question:

"Randakk - which do you think is more impressive: Steve Scott's back-pedalling speed or the large puddles he is leaving on the ground?"

That's a hard question.  I don't think I can decide  Lol

It's about the world's most beautiful GL1500's that has been extensively modified as Cafe Racers and can go very fast.

It must have connecting rods and other internal bits forged from Unobtanium to take the 10k+ speed of that mill.  I wanna see.....

Randall's bike on the other hand, is pretty easily seen, on the Intarweb, and in person.

OK, I get it. I just went and read back through.

Randalls bike is something I have in fact seen before and drooled over a bit.

The other guy is in effect, Raj.

That would make Randall winner by a call of bullshit on the challenger.

When I read the challenge, I was reminded of, correct me as I know you will if I'm wrong, Hoka Hey?

Hoka Hey in a Goldwing way.

Seems the illusion of the pot of gold left the building along with the illusion of the souped-up-GL1000 in the frozen North.

I love it when rival go-fast business people air their dirty laundry in public . .. everyone gets a good show, no one wins . . . . .

All that energy expended ;-}
