Looks like I won't make the soup run after all this year.  I'm going to Green Bay to watch my son in the state rugby finals.  Maybe next time.

Since Ben won't be leading this one; I'll volunteer. I THINK I can find the place. It will be a relatively slow pace (definitely under 100).

How about the Mobil Station on Hy 164 at I-94, just west of Waukesha at about 10:00 AM. Stands up by 10:15.

Post up if you plan to be there so we don't leave without you.

I went one year and it was a great time...good food and great people. I'll have to live vicariously through those of you that took pictures.

This Soup Run was the biggest ever. It was hard to take it all in. There were well over 200 bikes of all kinds there and riders of all genre.

Urban assault riders.

Brightly colored riders.

Riders who have rolling comunication figured out.

This year the riders arrived early  10:30 am and started clearing out around 2pm.

There were ST.Ners in attendance.

xspain rode the Ural ,painsmine rode the xs850

The day was about soup, brats and conversation.

The perfect brat prepared by Jim (HipGnosis). Ketchup, mustard, chedar cheese, raw onion and smothered with real bacon bits. A true masterpiece.

and a  presentaion titled cream of chicken with brat.

And of course the bikes.

A rare bike this year. It's an FJR. Breadman and his buddy rode up together.

A new Bandit 1250 from Kentucky parked next to a ST1300 from Tennesee.

This could be the newest terrorist interrogation protocol. Make the detainee ride 70 miles on this seat and they will sell out their mothers, brothers and childre.

Inpressive.

thanks to the

Thanks mostly to that guy we know as Mr. Soup.

It's spring time.

I rode to Kohler Andre State Park in the morning before Soup.

My highly specialized scalpel of choice for slicing and dicing the roads.
haha

Lots of bikes it's hard to show them all.

Russ is leaving. He lives in TN. He has 11ish hours go to get home so that he can go to work. Once at work he will drive a truck from TN up to Indy and back. He's one of those Ironbutt types.

A behind the scenes look at where soup magic happens.

Who let the riff raff in?

Beercheese soup on Mr. Soup's head.

I composed this photo in this way to mask the Lurker's identity.

Bye Roger

Bye Roger's friend who I can't remember the name of.

Late arrivals

Bye Mike. I have to admit I like that FJR shot.

Sooooup.

This kid was waiting and waiting and waiting for Dad to get going! haha.

This is the KLR in in the jungle shot.

It's spring!

Although we got there late, it was still a good time.  Mostly beautiful weather, good roads, great food, and engaging company.

Mark and Matt, you always get great shots!  Thanks for sharing all the photos.  Thanks to everyone who made it possible.

Kris, I have to tell you, as I was planning the Beer Cheese soup I was actually thinking of you.  I made this year's with vegetable stock because I knew we had a few Veg-heads joining us. I was thinking that I really needed to make it carnivore friendly so I actually thought about you and your bacon fetish. I talked it over with Patti and she found packages of real beacon bits.  That made it!  Thanks for the inspiration.

Soup's on!

Too cool, you scored a photo of Barb and I as we were just pulling in.

I asked her as we were leaving what she thought of all the people that she met.  Her comment was that she now understands why I like hanging out with you guys, because you are all like me.  So I guess that's a compliment.  =)

She thinks we are all just a tad bit nuts.

Nice seeing you all and yes, the soup and brats were awesome.

May I add my thanks to Soupman for a delicious, delightful afternoon.   Clap  (Thanks for keeping us Veg-heads in mind!  Thumbsup)

There were bikes as far as the eye (or at least my camera) could see...

There is always conversation when the Ural is at hand... (Hi, Andy!   )

Bad day to be hauling big things through a small suburban neighborhood filled with bikes...

Guess who didn't park on the pavement, again...   Bigsmile

Serious conversations were held...

Thoughtful listening was done...

Lurkers were lurking... (watch out behind you!!  EEK!)

Spys were spying...  (ok, maybe just smiling  Smile)

The most amazing burr oak towered over it all...

Someone was hiding in it...
