I hope to attend this year's Thundersprint in Northwich, Cheshire next weekend, May 9th/10th. I've heard lots of good things about this annual event, lots of classic racers that you can get real close to, and they get real close to you as they scream by! Anyone else going?

You should not anthropomorphize machines. They don't like it.Cool

Damn it, I completely forgot about this. I'm on holiday this week so I will miss it Sad
I've been for the past few years, it is a pretty good event. Very interesting to see all of the old classics, I went with my Granddad a couple of years ago and he loved seeing all the old bikes he used to ride.
The only thing I would say though is that the "scream by" is a bit exaggerated, the track that they use for the competitions is a bit cramped and they never go particularly fast. Probably for crowd safety issues more than anything. The parade is good though.

It is more of a show than anything but it is definitely a good day out.

Lol, I just popped in here with a bad mousewheel spin (was aiming for Canada), saw the thread title, and thought for a second there that Triumph was gonna stick a 1600cc twin in a sport-touring chassis.  Smile
