Hello all,

I recently traded in my trusty ST2 for an ST3 and am looking for a slightly taller shield for it.  I am 5'9" and would like to get some off the wind off my helmet, and bugs.  I am installing Helibars this week, which will put my head up even more.  Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

I Also have the HeliBars on my ST3. I installed the Zero Gravity ST series on mine. A very noticable difference. I still get a little buffeting around the shoulders, but not that bad. FYI I'm 6'1". Good luck

Zero Gravity and Ducati seem to be a good match. ST4s and a Monster both worked fine and looked good.

check out the Laminar Lip, too.  I ordered one once on-line and never got it.  Credit card was never charged and I forgot all about it.  Heard very good things.  I have Heli-bars also.

I used a Laminer Lip on my 2006 ST3, it seemed to provide a little more wind protection but the noise level was a little higher.  It wasn't a major improvement.  I did a couple of trips with it on then took it off.  I bought it for a trip up into the Canadian Rockies where I was expecting more cold and rain.  I took it off for riding in Nevada, Utah and Colorado where I was expecting higher temperatures. The installation, fit and finish on the LL was excellent, installation was straight forward.  I'm thinking of ordering a Zero Gravity ST to try out.

I did purchase a Zero G. ST shield, and gave it a good test last weekend.  I went on a 650 mile trip, and am very pleased with the shield.  It does make a big difference compared to the stock unit, way less bug juice on face shield.  No buffeting issues either, and it allowed me to tuck a bit to escape some hard rain.  My only issue is the shield is about half as thick as the stock one, which left gaps in the upper fairing surrounding the inside of the shield.  Not the worst thing, but noticeable to me.

I had a laminar lip. It did give more protection to the body but was noisier. I have taken it off and gone back to the standard one.

I was thinking of getting one, just for long trips.  Guess I'll just get stick with the stocker.

P.S.  I still love my ST3....washed and waxed today!

I have the Heli Bars and Zergo Gravituy double bubble on mine. I tried the ST screen and thought it only changed the wind, but didn't really reduce it. The double bubble (to me) provides a more comfortable ride. I also got the dark smoke color to hide the instruments mounted on the dash.

here's a couple of pics that show the screen profile.
