So....

My buddy Dane was over at the luxury shed the other day and he said, "hey, where's the hammock?"

Hmmmmmm, a hammock in the shed..........

Not the garage (it's a mess) but this is the shed-turning-into-a-shop that's supposed to address that.

Just tested power last night (small video at the end of the electrical section).

There is no insulation in the shed for mouse related issues. The heat is a double sun flower propane burner. Without the fan, it would be 100 degrees at the ceiling and 22 degrees at the floor. The fan is doing its job. In the summer, it circulates the AC. Yes, my shed has AC.

got it. heat isn't much of an issue here in the winter but A/C is something the kids suggested. i thought it'd be an excellent place to store a collection of blood sample slides.   Rolleyes

Kinda cramped. Not a lot room for the Subaru, FJR, beer fridge, and work/reloading bench.

what doesn't fit in the garage gets sent to the barn:

where it gets a generous coating of dust/dirt and paw prints from the killer barn cats:

Now that we've moved in here are some updated pics of my new garage. My bikes have spent the last 4 years either outside, under a tarp, or in a Motoshell. Finally, they get to be warm & dry year round. They're happy, I'm happy. The VFR & DR are mine; the CBR belongs to my wife.

The bikes are dirty in these pics, but I've since washed them.

This workbench & pegboard were already here. I added my tools, a laptop and a wireless phone.

View from the other side.

The medicine cabinet.

Finally get to set up my compressor. It's been in a box for 4 years. Whoa! This thing is noisy.

My goalie gear shares space with the bikes. Turns out I'm a gear whore in two sports! I have 4 sets of pads, 3 sets of gloves, 2 chest/arm protectors & 1 mask.

So next on my wish list is a tire changer so that I don't have to drive 140km (round trip) to the "big city" to get tires mounted.

Still making progress on the shop. The kid's schedule and weather have slowed the outside work, but the trim is started.

Nearly done with the insulation on the inside. Will wrap that up with the upper gable ends this weekend. Then on to sheet rocking.

Is that an 89 (or 90?) CBR 600 F1?!?  First bike I ever rode, same red white and blue color scheme.  I think I want one...

It's an '89. In Canada the '88 was red/white and the '90 was gray/white. I bought it as a leftover in 1990. It was my second bike (first was a Kawi EX500). My wife inherited it when she got her licence and I bought the VFR.
