Sht, if I had ridden in this morning, I'd have that tag by now.  I can practically see it from here.  Why oh why did I not look at the board last night?

So go home over lunch and get on yer bike!   Wink

If it was Musikfest, I would think about going and getting this tag.

It's not EXACTLY the same spot, but it was raining, so I didn't drive around a lot. It's still raining, so I'll post the next one tomorrow evening.

Good one and it looks like tomorrow will be a great riding day. Unfortunately my family is away and there is no one to watch the silverhound but me so we're having a male bonding weekend. I need to get a side car so I can bring him along. Bigsmile

Good luck with this tag.

Bruced

I did take a photo in front of the monument, but I like this shot.  I hung out for awhile & ate lunch by the statue before heading home.  Ya know, if I had headed straight back on the turnpike instead of running up 74 and across ST Peter's down Gold Mine & out 895 I might have beat your post.  But what fun is that?   Bigsmile

You made the right choice taking the long way home.  I wish I could have been on those roads today.

FYI you can use a smartphone to upload quicker than going to a wifi location, or waiting to return home.

I picked my location and will post it up tomorrow.

74 is one jim-dandy of a road, I rode it last week-end. I had a feeling I would bruce someone. Like I said earlier, I'm about 15-20 minutes from that statue. I was hoping to tag Gettysburg, as that where I live. The Peace Light is right up from that and would have made a great picture at dusk.
Officially: James Samuel Wadsworth Monument    Reynolds Avenue, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

Good advice.  I thought about doing that.
One of these times, I'll get lucky.  Till then, I'm gonna enjoy the ride.
I guess I just don't have that killer instinct.

It was a great day for a ride.  I actually added 80 miles to my planned route home.
For as crappy as late Spring, it's been near perfect since.  Perfect riding weather, and this is mid-July.
