Rumor has it that Ducati, as well as BMW, are eyeing up the mega-scooter market.

European bike designer Oberdan Bezzi photochopped this creative imagining of a 848-powered, partial-trellis framed, Ducati Scootster S.

Whaddya think?

It's amazing how much press Bezzi gets, seeing he is in no way connected with Ducati...

but if Ducati did make a scooter, heck yeah!

It looks goofy and I wouldn't really consider it a scooter.  For me anyway, a scooter must have a step through design that does not require you to lift your leg over it and a CVT.  I assume that bike has a regular manual transmission in it.

That? Hurl

If Ducati actually made a scooter? Yep. In fact, I'm already working on convincing the wife she needs a Vespa, or a smaller motorcycle. If it were a Ducati, I think she'd "cave" to the idea. I like scooters.

+10 to this "stop the photoshop" bullshit. Ugh.

And for the record, I would like to ban the use of "-ster" on the end of words to make really stupid bike names.

It's totally real...if you think a scooter needs radial brakes, single sided swingarm, trellis frame, gigantic ventilated disc brakes, exotic wheels, etc.

Totally real. Lol
