My mom is getting rid of my old D&D books along with a few other games I played a little bit (Star Trek, Warhammer 40,000, etc.).  Per Ebay and two used book shops, the books aren't worth the paper they're printed on today.  She had planned to recycle them, but maybe someone here wants them.

So... you pay shipping from Maryland and they're yours.

There are about 50 pounds of books, though, so it might not be cheap.  There is the Monster Manual, Deities and Demigods, the advanced Player's Manual, Dragonlance module soft cover books, some D&D related magazines, and other stuff.  Most of the hardback editions will be early 1980s.

I'm not going to ask my mom to write up an exhaustive inventory list, but if there is something specific you want, please PM me or respond on this thread.  If there is an individual book that you want that she has, she'll get it shipped probably via UPS.  You can just paypal me, and I'll write her a check.

The recycle goes out on Thursday so please let me know today or tomorrow.

I'd be tempted if I had any use for them whatsoever... I still have some of my old books as well, but no clue what happened to others.

1more...

I asked a buddy at work if he was interested... he had this to say...

"Yeah, which edition of D&D are we talking, if he's got one of the old Advanced D&D player's handbooks with the big demon statue on the cover, I'll take it (cover on the left). It sounds like he possibly does.

"

What should I tell him? (I'm clueless on D&D stuff)

Thanks.

i may have to do the same thing soon. since we are goin to Alaska, the wife thinks we won't be playing AD&D up there. i sold my 1st ed. stuff years ago for the same reason and then, not 2 months later, got into another gaming group and bought new stuff. good luck on getting rid of your stuff.

If I have that particular book, it would be the 1st edition.  I'll check with my mom tonight.  Does he want all the 1st edition books I had or just the Player's Manual (if I have it)?

I know he definitely wants that one book, but I'd bet he'd take all the stuff that goes with it.

Let me know what he doesn't take.  My artist daughter may enjoy the illustrations.  Have you considered media mail to save on shipping?

Pretty much everything.  I was always fascinated by D&D artwork, I think my daughter will like it too.

Yup, whatever chornbe passes on I'll happily take.

We were at Barnes and Noble this weekend and I showed my daughter some D&D books, she is very interested.  Thanks again!

RR ~ my mom also saved some magazines which have artwork, too.  IIRC the artwork in the magazines was very good.

RR, where do you live so my mom can get a shipping estimate?  PM or give me the nearest big city just for the estimate.  I have an idea where Chris lives.

It's too bad... if DM_Gsxr were still posting regularly, I could have gotten a bidding war started. Bigsmile (j/k)

Ok, my buddy needs a few of these. I can take the 78 and 85 ones off your hands. What do I owe you?

Thanks much!

Shipping media rate (good suggestion, RR) will be $5 - $10 for each shipment and take 1 - 2 weeks.

LM883 and RR, please PM me your mailing addresses.  I'll let you know the cost after it is mailed, not to exceed $12.  You can mail me a check or paypal me.  Let me know your preference in the PM.

If it winds up going unclaimed, I would love the copy of Rogue Trader.

Everything should be in the mail by Saturday.  I'll let you know when it's sent and the final shipping cost.

Once I get them and my daughter has a chance to look at the artwork, we'll make copies (shhhhhh) of the stuff she likes and I'll be glad to send Rogue Trader to you.   Thumbsup

That would be awesome. My copy is beat to hell, and that one looks pretty nice.
