Marc you completed quite the epic first mutiday trip, congratulations.  It started in conditions that would have many newbies, and even more experienced riders, not even leaving the house (or trailering it up) Lol Wink. You showed great perseverance, it was my pleasure.

I think hands down that Mark should be elected as the ESTN contingent historian and photo czar.  Bring on the Nationals. Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup

Congratulations on surviving your first long ride. Wink Beerchug
The photos and your account really brought the report to life.

No kidding!  Marcster either has an outstanding memory or was scribbling on a note pad every time I turned my back.  Excellent job recounting everything!!

That's nice, but can it be made into jerky?

I'd be lyin' if I didn't say that having the Garmin eTrex log all the riding didn't make it easier to write.

I remember riding past bodies of water or in woods of course, but I'd have no idea of the specific names of lakes or streets without reviewing the .gdb files on GPSVisualizer.com, especially since I was following others the entire time.

As promised, here's one of the Olympic trainees practice runs...  Now that I'm in front of the computer, I wish I had recorded more and some from the higher slope...  But, this is what I have:

And, just a test really: My Sony W150 digital camera on a RAM-mount handlebar mount on my Yamaha motorcycle, going about 50 mph. The original audio was *awful* (wind noise) so it's been replaced with the song "Old Hwy 90 Jam" by Scorpiwoman's Revenge (they sound like Rush). The music is open-source and available freely at http://www.archive.org/details/OldHwy90Jam

It's just a general riding video -- I'm certainly not stunting or carving corners with reckless abandon...

Thanks for clarifying, Marc  Lol

I didn't want anyone to think they would watching a video like this:

(Warning: the music on that video is LOUD!)
