Some one posted  pic of this bike in another power cruiser thread adn I think it looks bad a$$.

Am I nuts?  Does anyone have on of these or evfen been on one?

Are they all flash and no dash?

Anyone else this this is a cool ride or am I off the grid?

I will try to see if I still have pictures of the pair we saw Downtown Daytona a few years back.  They were awesome, sounded awesome, made me drool.  Didn't get to talk to the owners.  One had a New York plate and the other had a canadian plate.  Very cool bike, no idea on performance.

Looks like the air cooled twin from the Road Star, or some variant thereof.

4 gallon tank, 90HP, roughly 110 ft. lbs. of torque (150nM) 585 lbs wet (about the same as a ZX-14)

It's not exactly a Ducati Streetfighter or an Aprilia Tuono 1000R, but it's probably got respectable performance.

I'm not a fan of the wheels, or the exhaust.  But, it's a cool bike.  I'd like to see it with the air cooled 113ci motor from the Roadliner/Raider/Stratoliner, which would really be a bruiser.

I thought they looked pretty cool when they came out.  Like a lot of cool bikes, the MT-01 was never sold in the states that I know of.

I've seen maybe one on the street.  They're not listing a 2010.

Yes you're correct the MT 01 was not imported into the USA.

I ride with a guy that works for Yamaha Canada and he had a MT-01 in his garage for a few months. I had the pleasure of taking for a 15 minute test spin. It is the engine from the Warrior or whatever, the power cruiser they have but in a decent chassis with sticky tires and good brakes.

My first impression was "it's a heavy Buell that has a real transmission".

It shifted nicely and handled well for a bit of a heavy bike but you ran out of rpm's real early. Red line was around 5500 rpm or so which meant you shifted alot when you twisted the fun handle. The bike shook alot at idle but I don't remember how bad it was while riding as I was having too much fun. I could see the bike not being the best choice for a long distance ride though.

Of course, the big V-twin made sweet, sweet music when you got on it. I could listen to that all day.

The bike was way overpriced up here in Canada and didn't sell well. Besides the one I rode I've only seen one other around our area.
