can I make a suggestion?

And before you ban me from the tag folder for saying this...please read what I have to say and take a moment to think about it.. Lol

why not let us use file photo's for the new tag?  Not for claiming the tag, but for putting up the new one for others to find.

couple reasons why I think it would be good.  

Many times I go for rides where I'm not out claiming a tag, but see lots of really cool things, and I stop and take a photo.  Many of these rides I'm far from home.  Like most in here I bet I'm not the only one that does that.  I have folders and folders of photo's on my computers.  These are places Ive ridden to, so the rule you must ride to play the game is still in effect.

This will help eliminate the "shopping cart" tag or "local drug store" type of tags, and might help us find another 300+ items to find.

Of course you dont have to use a file photo, but in the case you just didn't have the time to find something cool to set the new tag you can take something from a previous ride.

let me put it this way; It would not bother me. I am not the photo police. I do not go checking the date info on the pictures that are posted. I leave it up to the integrity of the person posting the pics.  I will, however call foul is the season in the photo does not match the current time of year.    The prime reason for the no file photo is for the the grab and that is to try and keep it riding game and not a "do I have that photo in a file" game.

That said, technically some of my new item tsgs are "file" photos as they sometimes take place hours before the grab shot.

Now go find a gazebo  Bigok and make sure your drop shot isn't from last summer.  Bigsmile

cuz this particular game began with "no file tags", and has been running pretty well like that for over 2 years now!

If'n it's not gone by 4:30PM EST, I'll get this one on my ride home.  

My vote is to not change the rules.  Getting the next tag prior to the current tag, if it's the same day, is no problem.  But finding some old pic from some other day's ride or a tour is not in the spirit of this thread.  It's not a bad idea, but it's just too late in the game, IMHO.
