Leave the three mountain tops uncluttered.

I was thinking the same thing since snow capped mountains are more out west.

I'm also thinking that the font needs.... um, "something". I'll give it a shot, if you don't mind me working off your idea  Embarassment

This is very rough.  But, how's the following?

I like the font and the general placement of the text but I liked Ed's use of the mountains. Even if the snow caped peaks aren't quite accurate, I dig the dual meaning that they bring to the image.

move the 2010 to the 2nd line with National Meet.  Sport-Touring.Net should have it's own line.

On the mountains thing: I know the snow capped thing is a little out of place for the Appalachians, but when I tried it without that, you lose the whole "these are mountains" thing. It just looks like a fallout shelter sign. Yeah, it's upside down, but even those of us old enough to have been through the duck and cover drills aren't likely to notice that.

And, by the way, you should stop calling this my idea. It was maddjack's idea. I just spent a few minutes with MS Paint to get a sense of how it would look.

The snow caps do promote the mountain idea, they need to stay.

I'm also thinking that the font needs.... um, "something". I'll give it a shot, if you don't mind me working off your idea  Embarassment

The font is easy to change , it was done in this one just as a draft and to be crisp and clean for the idea to come across Wink

Agreed... the snowcaps say "mountains", regardless of geographic detail.

Center-align the text (top and bottom)?  Embarassment

I am unable to do such things in "Paint."  That's the best I could get it.

My goal is to have someone who's more proficient in such software say, "Hey, I can run with that and make it look good."

I like it for the top and bottom, like newsprint, but prefer something more sign like for the Nuclear Twisties

I'm really liking this idea!!!

I like the Nuclear Twisties font and the mountains with snow, but I say go back to the newsprint font for the rest, and on the front use the same logo that is in the upper left of the forum, you could even use one of the sayings that come up in small print under the logo.

I say offer it in Black, Grey and White shirts........   Bigok
