Well I just booked a room thru the Choice hotel website ,arriving monday leaving thursday,see you  peeps there

From what I understand, if you have an AMA, AAA, or similar membership, you may be able to get a better rate by booking on line using your account number.  

Add AARP to that,its 10 to 15% off I used AMA

James, I took the whole week off. I got a room for 3 nights, 14th, 15th, 16th. Baby sitting, etc., will determine extending the stay.

Right now I'm only booked for the 14th and 15th. I'm thinking about heading for Barber on Wednesday, going to the museum on Thursday and then taking the long way home. I'm thinking about booking the 16th as well and then just riding a big loop to the west Thursday-Saturday.

I'll be arriving to Lewisburg on Saturday and leaving Wednesday.

Why is this national meet on a Tuesday and Wednesday during the middle of Laconia Bike Week??

We always have the meet in the middle of the week to accommodate travel time for folks that may be coming in from far off.  As for as the time of the event, our national is always the third week in June

I used to live in Laconia. Right next to the light at the center of town.
I don't particularly want to hang out with Hells Angels and other characters of their ill will towards anyone that doesn't own a Harley.
I do have family up there and wanted to get a vacation towards my friends and family in Newport, NH and area plus my friends in Rome, NY.
It would be a heck of a vacation to NY, then NH, then back to NY, then down to WV and back to PA all in a week to week and a half.
I just can't spend two weeks off in vacation time since I will need some of that time later in the year.

Hmmmmm. Got some thinking to do.

I did want to get to Lynchburg and Roanoke just because of the lemonade and I know Roanoke is know for something . Colonial times stuff I think. Don't know if they have anything that shows this kind of stuff or not.

I do want to ride during my vacation instead of start the bike move a foot ahead, shut bike down so it won't overheat, start bike, move a foot forward, shut down the bike so it won't overheat, etc........

It might happen. Maybe I will take a later summer trip to NH and my friends place in NY. His wife is expecting kid #2 in June anyhow.

In the area is the D-Day memorial,Appomattox courthouse is close by if you are into history.
