Appologise about the short notice..Twas a spur of the moment decision to ride during the best day we had so far this year. Surpriseing,Morrow Mountain was empty of Bikes. I did get the chance to meet a  Father/son combo.Dad was riding a Wee Strom, son on the SV 1000 that was brand new. Dad and I swapped riding stories for about an hour about our old road racing days.I then headed east of Badin lake thru the Uharrie Forest area on some great roads I havent traveled since the Cold weather set in.
Turned up the wick to about 20 to 30 over, no real twisties but some great sweepers and enough tight turns to get your attention.Passed 2 LEO's comeing by me at  speed, heart rate jumped bit.Guess they didnt want to see my papers. :eek:Funny thing is,, I never see any Leo's out there, then I get 2 in one day, both ignored me. I should have picked up a lottery ticket on the way home.. Twas my lucky day. Bigsmile

Lager,
My wife and I ride to Morrow Mt. all the time, but saturday her Aprilia decided it wanted to break down.   Found the electrical system ground had come loose and the battery died.  Thank God we were close to home and managed to get her back but it killed our riding day.

We most likely will be heading up that way next Saturday around noon, weather permitting.  Lets all shoot for a fun ride next Saturday!!!  I will offer to lead on some fun roads from the Concord NC area up to Morrow Mt.

Hi Scott  ! Thanks for responding Sorry to hear about Wifeys bike having troubles,But glad to hear your handy enough to repair it.
Concerning this weekend, I know I have to work this Saturday and from what i have watching on the weather station. It gonna be chilly and wet. Maybe we should try for the next weekend ? I know I have that Saturday off and maybe the weather will be a bit kinder? Plus give some folks a bit more time to plan for a group ride .
