OK...So I'm interested...but I have a few questions:
About the Track Day:
1.  How much modifying of the ST will I need to do to make it "track-legal"?
2.  Do I need a 1 piece riding suit...or will overpants/jacket/boots/gloves suffice?

About the facilities:
1.  Anybody interested in camping?
2.  What arrangements are there for food / water / etc?

We "could" turn this into a "Tailgate Party Track Day" if the folks at Blackhawk allow such activities...

Post up with any guidance you all have...thanks!

People from this group camped there the past 2 years, although it was under the Private Track Time leadership. I don't think that matters. Unless BFR has changed policy, you should be able to camp there.

Showers/bathrooms on site.
Food - as mentioned, there will be lunch provided. BFR has a concession stand. Its fairly good food. Nothing fancy. And as far as I know, you can bring camp-out cooking supplies and fend for yourself.

Regarding your bike-
it will probably just need the lights covered and the mirrors removed or folded back. I have not seen a trackday org get too picky on a bike as long as it is in good working order. This is not a race so the rules are a little loose.

Do they have tape there for the lights and mirrors?  If I need tape, what is recommended?  I seen a video with someone using duct tape.  That has to be a pain to get off the mirrors and headlight.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Still on the fence about going, but interested.

Blue painters tape is the best - easy to take off and doesnt leave any residue.  also makes sense to disconnect all the lights so they don't melt the tape
