Leon had some great tips for me on the last ST.N day that still improves my riding since.  He did it in about twenty words.  Yeah, super cool guy.

Rory,
Great movie. great job of getting around that track.

I can see we are going to have many things to talk about this year at the Region 4 Trackday. Body position, Throtle control, and reference points for braking and shifting, these are just some of the things I would like to get your opinion on.

Looking forward to the Region 4 Trackday!

well, I know I'm not the best person to ask about that stuff. I have lots of room for improvement. Lots. But thanks.

Cool vid.

Nice riding.

Might I suggest you work on getting your chest down to the tank and shoulders over more. Over all very nice and smooth/consistent.

as you are not the only one to tell me this (no offense), I will work on that. While it might not be evident from the video, I was putting focus on turns 3-4-5. This was my first time out in 2010 and our day was cut short by some storms that passed through.  I think near the latter part of 2009 I had much better form than in this video. It takes me a while to build up confidence in my bike & the tires and then I'll push it harder. That, and the track was bumpy in several areas where I don't remember it being bumpy before. Not an excuse, as I commented above, I have lots of room for improvement.

Talk to ya at BFR!

No offense taken. I too lost much of my last years form.  Embarassment I'm struggling to find it again. But it's still better than a day at work.

See ya there.

well, I will talk to Michael from Motovid.... we are still 2 short from the 20 minimum that would secure a separate group... I really hope he will still let us have it, but we might get people injected into it if even will be selling out.

Yesterday's trackday was sold out - Vintage motorcycle group from Chicago was riding in a sponsored group.

People that are still on the fence, now would be a good time to decide.

From people who are going, who is going to camp out there night before? are we pitting at the same place as usual? next to the access road between turns 4 and 5?

I will be there, and am planning on camping.

I guess whoever gets there first decides where we are going to be, but I'm sure it's going to be the same area as you have described.

I plan on doing at least one walking or bicycle tour of the track.

I know lunch is included, but what are we planning on having on the grill?

I used to bring a little gas grill with me to trackdays, but I learned to like Motovid's way of feeding us - no worries, no hassles, and yesterday, lunch was only 30 minutes and we get 7 sessions in, advanced group even got 8 before closing time.  However, only rider gets free lunch, spectators don't, so if there will be some spectators who would cook, we can pitch in with dogs, brats, etc...

at this point I intend to camp out.

I will probably bring some food but doubt it would need to be grilled. Less hassle.

If Maggie comes with the geeklet, we'll stay at the hotel.  If not, I'll camp.

Anyone want to babysit a newborn for 20/min at a time so mom can get some sessions in?   Bigsmile
