These are video chasers - there was guy in red adn white leathers on orange bike, and another guy with ponytail and silver leathers, don't remember what bike - there are about 5 of them and they rotate - 2-3 at a time in all groups

the guy I'm talking about could not have been a video chaser. If he was, he was doing a horrible job of it.  Lol

sometimes they go out to just have fun and they can choose to ride in any session Smile  or maybe he just sucked.  I know one of the chasers from CLSB board, so I can ask if Rossi decals guy was one of them

another quaestion to all ST.N folks, how did you like to ride with CRR guys?  any complaints about something they did on the track, like rude passing and stuff?  I can beat some sense in them.  There were 5 I group regulars there and 4 track newbies

There were a couple of passes on the corners that made me jump (probably my fault), but overall the CRR guys were really cool to ride with.  Very respectful, smooth, well behaved.  I've got no complaints and would ride with ya'll again in a heartbeat.

+1.

I'm sure I was gunshy...and I know that I was moving only slightly faster than a rolling roadblock by comparison...but I couldn't complain at all about the CRR guys.

Of course, I could "see" them for only the briefest of moments, as they blew by me, too.... Lol

One little incident.  Stupid ziptied stands!  (Sorry, Charlie; you asked me to take a pic)

Personally, I'm "very satisfied" that the only time my barends got scraped was due to a gust of wind and no -so - well -adjusted wheel stand.  No blood, no foul!

The guy on the White/Silver FIAT/Rossi thing was pitted with us CR's but he was not a CR or a Video bike to my knowledge.

I had a real problem with that RC51. I would get the the straight away and not see it anymore. I liked following that sound.

Next time he should pull a spark plug and we can have an RC51/KTM drag race into 1.

Thanks again to samal for heading this up.
Thanks to Todd for helping me out all day and posting those vids.  I worked quite a bit on moving around on the bike more.  My legs are finally recovering 3 days later. Really need to work on being smoother and more consistent with body position.
That father son duo on the KZs was something.  The old man told me he had Hawks tix to surprise the kid with on his birthday Friday if it went to a game 7.  What a guy eh?
Learned a lot out there Wednesday.   Just wish we did this weekly or at least monthly rather than yearly.  Thanks for making this day great everybody!   Bigok

I had a wonderful time, as usual, at our CRR/ST.N trackday.  I felt a bit in the way with a few guys, like Rory, Jason, Matt, Shaul, and maybe three other Russian riders.

I did manage to keep the big FJR in 3rd gear through the entire track, except the front straight, where I snicked it up to fourth once I hit 120.
This helped me work on corner set-up, rather than worrying about shifting so much(though it killed my corner exits).

I really enjoy these events, and I may look into either a track bike, or a sportbike that I have the option to ride on the street.  My bike has done everything I have asked it to do, up to this trackday.  I think ground clearance and its overall heft are limiting factors for true track riding progression.  I have noticed nearly EVERYONE get faster than last year, and I want some of that action!

Samal, thanks for setting this up.  You brought some pretty fast riders, and I had a TON of fun riding with them.

Fellow STN folks, thank you for sharing in a very fun day!

Rory, I tried my best to keep with you after each time you passed me.  I also tried to fend you off from passing, as shown on the video clip (I am the rider in front of Rory for roughly the first lap of his footage).  I just can't hang with you, even though your pace may have been 8/10, while my pace was 9.5/10, or 10/10 pretty much all day.  I was tired after pushing that pig around all day.

I went to the photographer's site last night and pictures were up, but now they are not.  Headscratch
http://www.gron4.com/main/
I'm sure they will be up again soon.

2 more video's of mine.

I made a bad pass on Maggie somewhere around the 5 minute mark. Sorry about that one.

If I didn't say it before, it was great seeing y'all for this event. I wish I could ride with you guys more often and off the track too. Maybe I'll get that resolved next year. I heard guys talking about getting a track bike, I'm in the opposite boat where I'm looking for a comfy street ride. Oh well.

Those photos Gron took are always great; I didn't even realize he was there.  Who was the other guy that got my money?  Headscratch

Good to know...I got mine in the mail, but haven't yet popped the corn and popped the top on a Spotted Cow to settle in and watch myself get passed by the CR's, other riders, and the little ol lady driving the big yellow school bus yet....
