Not 1 but 2 Springfield Miles for Labor Day 2013....Sat and Sunday! Shorttrack mixed Pro-Am program on Friday night.

What is happening with Coolbeth this year? Lousy results so far. Mees and JJ and that Carver kid all look fast.

If you have never been to vintage flattrack try Wauseon OH next year. Last night they had packed grandstands and pits and great racing. This is the Antique Motorcycle Club of America show that they have every year in July. They have every kind of bike from boardtrack racers to 80s singles as their newest class.
The 750 class had 35 bikes.... Including 3 prevoius NATL number holders. Jack Warren,Millington MI #82 on a Triumph defeated Geo Roeder jr #66 from the PENALTY LINE! Thing is Jack raced JRs DAD and is 71 yrs old. Chad Rall #52 (Ronnies kid ) was third on a Yamaha #52. Gramps can really get with the program yet.....

You got to see this event on that beautiful pea-gravel 1/2 mile some time. Oh and there is a great swap meet and beautiful Excelsiors,Hendersons, Indians and HDs all over the place too.

Great weekend. Friday evening was 'Night before the Mile' short track at the Lodi Cycle Bowl where the pros and locals mingled and the racing was excellent. Spent all day Saturday at the Sacramento Mile which was even better than last year. Great racing in both Mains. My volunteer duties allowed me to watch a bunch of the racing close to the track along the back straight. Had a perspective I couldn't get from the grandstand and it was incredible. More  Hail than I already had for these amazing riders and confirmed my opinon that a flat track mile is like nothing else in motorsports.

I saw one trailer with "Daniel Kalal" in big letters across the tailgate. DK, are you helping one of the teams?

Yes, yay for girls as Shayna shows she has big boy GUTZ with that move at the end. You did notice that Michigan riders were 3 of the first 4 in the twins main? Way to go Bryan. And girl power for Nichole C to finish 13th in a tough field.

Shayna on a twin soon? Hopefully.   Next up.... Hank at his forte in the Castle Rock TT!

Wiles domination in Peoria continues.  Bigok    Extra  Bigok for NorCal kid Dominic Colindres winning in Pro Singles. He was third at the Springfield TT and Castle Rock TT along with a fourth at the Sac Mile.

Countdown to Indy starts now.

Yes Hank can win Peoria again....and again...and.........

Those 450 kids give me a scare. They are so all over each other all the time! But GREAT RACING!

Will that new Kaw give Bryan a big edge at Indy, Springfield and all the miles? That thing is super light and Bryan has a lot of miles coming up on the schedule. This could get very interesting.

Somethings been nagging me since I saw that announced.  Didn't he jump ship from the Werner Kawasaki last year?

Yep, after winning the Indy Mile on a Kawi in '10, the next season he left Werner/Springsteen to ride XR750s. Now back on a Kawi built by Ricky Howerton/Skip Eaton. That Crosley bike looks verrrrry sweet

K. Coolbeth will ride at Indy, and veteran local rider Dan Ingram returns after 19 years away!
