I only ride bikes that have ABS and traction control so I'm out.
ABS on a Solex operates like this:
You can activate the manual ABS by rapidly pumping the right hand handlebar lever. However, this is rarely necessary, as the front brake doesn't really do a great deal.
Traction control. The front wheel mounted motor has traction control built into it. It turns the front wheel via a rubber roller. Rather than annoy the rider with blinking red lights and other bollocks, this version alerts the rider that it is working by sending off clouds of burning rubber. You don't see it, you smell it.
Original post in solexownersofamerica:
I have two 3800's. French made, don't know year. (60's?)
Both pulled from a big lot of used mopeds that a friend of mine bought 10 years
#1; brought back to life with new tires, carb rebuilt, etc but has power issues
(haha don't they all? but more than normal, needs sorted out - don't know why)
#2; is a parts bike, but basically all there, could be coaxed back to life -
maybe. (read rusty and hasn't run in who knows when)
I live in the Pasadena, CA area and need them gone. Pickup only and in turn I
just ask for a $100.00. If someone that loves Solexes (Solexi, Solexium,
whatever the plural is) doesn't pick them up then I'll post them on Ebay.
