The Wee-Strom should be a 650....but minor detail. I'd take the fugly bike over the Duc.  Bigsmile

Fixed it as far as I could but I only know it as the Wee-Strom.

I know the STNers will go wild for a bike they'll probably never own and send the plucky Wee Strom home in the first round.   Sad

I would have voted for the 1098 but the Wee Strom gets my vote vs the 999.  Doesn't look like it will win though.

I've always liked the looks of the 999, even when everybody else said I was stupid.  (I say that like it's past tense.)  I still like it, even with the new 1098.  It's such a well engineered piece.  Adjustable ergos, adjustable everything really.  And it moves!   EEK!

I like the wee-strom but it's got quite the tough matchup here.

Gee, let me think.  Do I want a top heavy bike that can't rail and inspires me to hit the trails and only keep it light duty.  Or do I go for double the power, 100 less pounds, low CG, corner shredding, liter twin, more-torque-than-Vin-Diesel's-name-carries supersport?

999, no doubt.  I didn't even have to type all that jazz.  I just did it to spite the practicality of an ugly bike.  The 999 will be some Duc owner's cult classic in 10 years, but that's beside the point.  I guess sniffin the breeze is nice, but if I'm not sniffin the breeze whilst draggin knees, then I might just be bored and unhappy.

And yes, I've ridden a Wee-Strom.  And yes, I've ridden a 999.

In the ugliness contest, I am afraid that the Duc wins.  I loved the 916 and that genre.  The 999 was totally fugly.  The 1098 would get my vote, but not the 999.

It seems that the bikes that I like are shunned by STNers.   Sad

It lost by a single vote.  I wouldn't consider that "shunning"

Proof that your vote in online voting will always mean more than votes at the polls in Novembers.

Oh!  Look!  I made a difference!  And a good one.  Glad to see the DL1000 is going down like a non-flying brick in Rnd 2.
