Well, made it home yesterday safe and sound, and no more crashes! yeah! What a trip. Wind and rain from Lolo through to Custer (horrible few days, but the roads were, for a large part fun). Loved Lolo, Lost Trail (except for the lowside), and Chief Joseph Passes. Yellowstone, ugh! Cold and wet.

Had a hoot in Custer. It was fun getting to meet all those that showed, eat, have a few too many beer and ride (and yet another crash on the Needles, I really must pay more attention to what I am doing when I ride).

The three days spent riding with John, Jeff and Colleen (NOT MrsDantesDame) from Custer up through Wyoming and Montana was fun. Thanks for the fun!

All told, even with the lousy weather, the tupperware damage to my bike, and a thoroughly cooked set of tires, I had a great time. Spent the last three days of it enjoying the warm sunny weather at Kettle Falls, WA camping, relaxing in the hammock and reading.

All in all, I had a great time, and enjoyed meeting all of you. Happy Trails!

You guys missed an incredible REALLY nice ride from White Sulpher Springs to Great Falls, over US-89 (Lewis and Clark Nat'l Forest).

After Great Falls, we followed it to St. Mary's east of Glacier.  Google still calls it US-89 but I'm sure there was a Montana # too.  From Browning to St. Mary was nice a twisty, but a bit rough.   The ride to Browning took care of 1/2 my squared tire as we were fighting a strong wind off the mountains.

I'll try not to make this a ride report, but since I left Custer, I've been a lot of places. In the last few days I've done

In Texas now.  Finished my Colorado trip, hit New Mexico, and am winding my way eastward to home.  Cool

Finally made it home safe and sound.  Have a day of rest until I have to go back to work Monday.

Went from 206 to 198 in 2 weeks though.  Cool
