The R6 forum had 125+ this year, down from about 400 last year.

How many active members does STN really have (people that are on here daily, post, etc). Maybe 250? I don't think 50 is a bad number for a mid-week gathering.

Sport-tourers are all talk, no action.  I heard half of those R6 riders rode wheelies all the way there.

Well, I doubt he did 'cause I think he took 3 bikes to the thing. No idea on the others.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not propping the R6 forum or anything... I just kinda think it's a bummer that a bike-specific forum had such a big rallye compared to The Home of Triple Digit Sightseeing. Wink

Okay, how many of us have to show up to a national meet to make you happy?  This year's meet was how far from home for you?  400 miles?  When you make a meet further than a day's ride from home, then you can start bitching about people not showing up, okay?

Hope to see in Custer in '11.

Well acquainted with those concepts, thanks.

Seriously, how many STN'ers would you consider a good-sized gathering?

Also serious about hoping to meet you in Custer.  My plans are already turning in that direction, even if I end up riding the XR650L there.

Ward, your being a little hard on the Beaver!  Lol  You did a great job Doug, I had a blast.  Bigok  Personally I kinda liked the lower numbers. At past meets members seemed to pair off in their own cliques. This year everybody seemed to be more open and social. I was able to talk to and ride with some fantastic people. Have to agree with SprintSt, It was "quaility not quantity this year."  Thumbsup

If the R6 meet is down from 400 to 125, I'd say we are doing pretty good then. Either the economy has hit sport bike riders harder, or they are being to squidly and  taking themselves out.  EEK!
