My streak of riding the last four days ends today. I am heading to a conference.  Looking at the weather, I will not be missing anything.

No, due to the fact that I don't get off until 11PM and the forecast is for freezing rain tonight.  Rain don't bother me, but that slippery stuff does.  With 29 miles to home, it ain't happening.

I'm riding today because the Burgman is going in for maintenance tonight. The shop is about 2 miles from where I work.

Sure did.  I should be leaving work in time to miss the rain, and if I don't make it my gear should keep me dry enough.

Nope.  We talked about it, but he's gonna take the medicaid sled (Crown Vic) instead.  Right afterward he's got a gig in the city, so it's faster to take the car.

And I had to drive to pick her up.  *sob*

I probably could use the Connie, but we haven't tried the two-up thing on it yet.  Better to try it on a side street first than discover I can't handle an 1100 lbs bike ten miles from home, with my wife on the back no less.

I won't ride in the rain going TO work.  Just not worth it in rushhour.  No towels or change of clothes at work.
I will ride in rain on the way home, if it's, say, above 50'F.  Otherwise, the rain cools you down too much.  Not to say I haven't done it before (out of poor planning, or a cruel Ma-Nature joke!).    Rolleyes

Had I known it wasn't to rain heavy until much later today (in SE MI), I'd've rode in.
(can you use two hyphens in the same word?)

I rode today.  I just got the FJR home with a new set of Stones on it.  Feels great as opposed to the worn out Metzlers that I  replaced.  Of course I took the long way home.  I'm not riding it to work.  Too wet and too dark late at night.  Oh, and Ed, that's four words.

I was gonna, but I finally "found" my new GPS mount and was testing it out in the car today.  Will be testing it on the bike this weekend though...as long as it ain't raining.  I'll get caught in enough rain commuting and traveling once the season starts, so missing a day here and there at the beginning won't hurt.  Besides I rode every day since last Thursday, now my bod needs to heal a bit.  Stuff is sore that hasn't been sore in months hehe.
