There are good roads around Chester.

Yes I know.  There are also good clay hills. Smile

One nice thing about Ukiah is that there are a billion good roads around.

Good thing you routed it around those pesky squiggly bits.  Lol

I'm a definite possible maybe for this. Maybe Ray will even take his first real vacation in 10+ years for the WCRM/National loop.

Uh... I don't really have a dog in this fight (as they say) because I'm an Eastie and all, but why would you schedule the regional so close to the National. It's kind of like you're asking people to choose which one to attend.  Headscratch

Speaking entirely for myself, I consider myself pretty typical - family, kids, job, vacation time, travel time to meets... I couldn't do both, and if I had to pick one over the other, it'd be the National; a chance to ride places and road I don't do very often, and a chance to see and meet people I don't normally get to see.

That's a VERY valid question, Chris. I'm glad you brought it up!!!

Now Chris, You know I have to call you out on the date.  The DATE has not been Decided - it has simply been unilaterally approved by a voting populace of one.

The traditional date of WCRM for the past SEVEN events has been the weekend after Memorial Day.  You should just accept that is a good day for this event to happen...and consider adjusting YOUR schedule to be a part of.   Bigsmile

Pssst - it's been the weekend BEFORE Memorial Day. It's a Canadian long weekend and gives them some time to get with the fun  Bigok

The weekend before memorial day continues to be "Washout Weekend".  I'm done with WCRMs that are before Memorial day.  Four washouts out of five WCRMs is enough.

The original thinking behind having them close was to be able to attend both and ride from the WCRM directly to the National.

I'll be in Custer for sure, don't know about the WCRM.

Nice carefully selected set of pics, you managed to find a few minutes of dry weather each weekend.

I like the Eurtuna location, it's just too damn wet, usually between Seattle and Eurtuna.

I don't wanna start a pissing match, here. I was just curious about the timing of the event with the National. I intend to get out West more next year and am looking at options.

And you West coast guys should hit ESTN if you wanna talk about wash out. We usually schedule them during hurricanes... seemingly by choice!

Hardly "carefully selected" pics. Look at my website WCRM. Every year "the day of" the Meet it never rained where I rode.

Whatever. It's your ball o' wax now. Have fun with Mr. Sunshine    (if he shows up)

We're having lots of fun with SunnyD.  He's great at starting threads and keeps threatening to show up, but so far MIA.

We can discuss when you're in town next week.  Threadjacked

Back to your regularly scheduled nonsense.

Next year's WCRM and National I am going to.  This year's .5 meet was scheduled the same weekend as a prior engagement so I'm still not sure.

We are trying to make it so people can attend both.

The WCRM meets are usually schedule the weekend before Memorial Day.  This leaves two weeks after it then the National.  That's a nasty disruption to work.  Its easier to just take a block of time off so if you put them closer together you have a chance at a higher attendence.

If I don't start the thread...then we end up in Eureka the weekend before Memorial Day in the pissing rain and we don't know about this for sure until a month before hand.  I figure getting the ball rolling now and acting dictatorish will make things happen.

When is the last time the Skipper came to some function?  He started this stupid forum.   Lol
