Going to take 250 east to sklyline dr. North then 55 back west.  We have a whole week.

When the last week of Sept.

How is the weather during this time of year?

My wife and I will most likely be camping along the way.  Chime in if there is any do not miss spots along the way or if you have any suggestions for places to camp or eat.  We are coming from Michigan and plan to pick up 250 by Toledo OH.

55? Do you mean 50?

In general, cool and dry makes for some great riding. It's my favorite time of year to ride. Could be quite cool in the mornings in the WV mountains. I would plan for temps into the low 40s to start the day. Be sure to bring raingear as stretches of rainy periods aren't unusual.

You'll be in my backyard doing this route.  When you exit Skyline in Front Royal you're one mile from my job.  Skyline Drive ends at Rt 55.  September can still be hot but generally you'll see some beautiful weather.  I doubt you'll see the 40 degree weather but it's always possible.

not sure of your pace but doesn't sound like a very long distance for a week's worth of riding? if I were you, I'd head south on BRP rather than north on Skyline, but that's just me.

Weather should be ideal. Maybe a warm spell but not more than 80 or 85, maybe cool into the 40's at night out there in the woods, but you're not going to hit anything extreme.

I have road the death out of the BRP.  We plan to end back in South East Ohio and by Thursday and camp with the Region 4 guys and ride with them for a couple days.  And yea 55 to 50 or something like that.  We are still in the planning phase.

A nice route back home is through Cumberland, MD. If you follow the route 55w to 29n to Paw Paw, then take 51w to Cumberland, it's a nice route through the mountains and along the historic Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. Cumberland is a quaint old railroading town nestled in the mountains. If you feel like slabbing it at that point you can take 68W to Morgantown, or you can make your way back southwest into the hinterlands of West Virginia.
