Its not the bike most people dislike, its the poser riding it. The whole bullshit "tough guy on a real bike" persona that your average joe assumes when he climbs aboard a harley is sickening.

I think that's what bugs most of us who bash Harleys.  The machines are inanimate objects.

a hard tail and ape hangers ... that's gotta be hell on the rider's body.

I'm sure that guy knows his bike inside and out (literally) but I'm not too keen on how its all put together. Looks like its one loose bolt from a little disaster.  Crazy

I'm curious.
....................................... .......................
Shouldn't you lot at least be riding beat to hell, leaking, mid 1970s Japanese UJMs?  Otherwise what are you appreciating?  And if you appreciate it so much, get rid of your modern plastic, hit up craigslist and get a $300 basket case and be cool to.

Otherwise, quite frankly, you're all full of crap.

Discuss.

hey some of us riding Ninja 250 daily, would it count?

Who the fuck are you? I have three Harleys in the garage along with the Tuono,RZ350(which I built),YZ465 (ditto),CRF450R and enough parts to build one or two more. In fact I bet my '81 FLH has more miles on it than you do. All but 5500 mine. Sturgis,Daytona,Laconia and a few that most people don't even know about. Of course this is the 'net and I am lying until someone verifies it. You'll just have to trust me. Fuck the Tuono has 77K on it all but 3 mine.

Anyway I like the turd  the OP started the thread about because if you see that bike on a trailer it's being stolen or it broke bad and the owner can't fix it on the side of the road. And I never said I didn't like the new ones. Rode one yesterday in fact. Benefits of the profession.

Maybe you don't talk like you type and it freaked him out?  Or inside he's really scared of his dad?

Personally, I'm just jealous of you both for having made it to a meet.

Ya don't think there's a whole BS "sport touring real rider" persona on this site?  Or a BS "I'm Vale Rossi" that most sport bikers have etc etc

When I'm out in the middle of nowhere, I'm not seeing people on St bikes.  I'm seeing people on newish Harleys putting on the miles.

Maybe people here associate with this POS beater Harley because it travels about as far as they do on their modern rides?
Why do you have such a boner about this? What is it to you? You don't like the bike, fine, move on and get over it already.

Cuz I don't believe the majority of you lot like this bike either.

When I called out the BS, most everyone then came up with some lame ass excuse why that bike is cool, but new ones aren't.  How you lot understand what it's about and so relate.

You don't.  Don't pretend for a moment that you'll step out of your sanitized world and partake in something like that.

It's amusing how so many jump to the defense of what in reality repels.  How could it not?  Look at the choices you have made.

I didn't come up with any excuse and I never said I didn't like Harley's. That is all in your narrow little mind. I also never said I wanted or would ride that bike. All I said was that I liked it. It does not repel me, you on the other hand... And again what the hell does what I ride have to do with the fact that I find that bike appealing in some way? It has nothing to do with it. NOTHING! So in your narrow little world view if I own a Honda, I can only like Honda's? Wow...

That thing is a piece of shit.  Why is there a big, wide belt running from the front of the engine to the back of the engine?  Why not run that shit all the way to the back of the motorcycle so it can do some work and turn the rear wheel instead of just being some ornament? Headscratch

Man you are dense. How about we use the term "appreciate" as opposed to like. Does that suit your delicate sensibilities? I have zero farkles. As in none. I had a Triumph Sprint that I put 40,000 miles on, zero farkles. I'm not a farkle kind of guy. Unless replacement grips count as farkles. Talk about presumptuous... You assume a lot, you know nothing. You have much to learn Grasshopper. Bye, bye.
