44....Old enough to know better.

Just saw this -- allow me to say, Pfft, and, also, Derp.

I thought you could just ride it to break it in.  Why the dyno?

Very oversquare motor with lots of horsepower (183 measured at the rear wheel). Under stressed in normal running. Wanted to make sure to get enough pressure in the cylinders by loading the engine to seat the rings.

183 at the rear wheel  EEK!  What is it at the output shaft?  And how do you keep the front wheel on the ground.  Lol

Supposed to be 195 at the crank in stock trim. I've got the Termi silencers and map which is probably good for 8% more. I've been shopping for a leather  fork tool pouch to get a bit more wheelie resistance.  Bigsmile

Did 180 miles today. Trying to get 600 on it so I can get it serviced and use it for TWiSTAR. Only 350 more to go.....

Rode to work, then up to the shop for the new chain.  Picking up some rear pads while I'm here.  Should be gtg for whatever direction I head tomorrow.

Been riding daily and praying not to get caught in the rain again.  Ruined a pair of dress shoes (I know, should have been wearing boots).  I ordered some waterproof boot covers, but they were out of XXL, had to settle for XL which should be fine for my size 10 feet.

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN CHICAGO!

If you work in the same place every day, put a cheap pair of shoes in your locker/desk. Change out of your boots when you get there. I have a pair of black and a pair of brown in my bottom desk drawer.

Picked up something else to ride last Friday and took it for a Mothers Day flogging.  In fact in honor of Mother's Day I think here on out she'll be named Mother Superior.  See she wears black, going to be habit forming and fun to jump on and ride.  Almost forgot to say that she also likes it wet and dirty.  Think I'm  Inlove!

Today was day #1 of my commute to work regime. Beautiful day and glad to be on 2 wheels, although I'm sure there will be some days along the way where the car seems a nicer place to be.

This should be a good way to save a bunch of $$$ in gas costs and have some fun in the process.

I do need to find a good backpack for my laptop though....any suggestions are very welcome.

I faced the same need a couple of years ago . . . .I piucked up a Kriega R15 -- HIGHLY water resistant (brought home the laptop completely dry through a couple of gully washers and number of normal rains) -- I should gone up one size (R20, I think), becuse although the laptop fits, that's about all . . .I could use a lil more room.

Not cheap, but MUCH cheaper than replacing a waterlogged laptop.

Today?  Wow, just wow.  I took the really long way home and am considering going back out after dinner.  It's that nice here.  Otoh, the freaking ashole cop that followed me down my road, then lit up the lights only to go around can KMA.

This has been and will continue to be a week of 100 mile days topped by a 1500 mile weekend.  I *need* the stress relief.  My workload is going over the top thru the end of the month.

Had a nice commute home last night, shared part of the ridealong with Ben. Caught up on County KR before I-94 north.  Not on his new steed but the one closest to the door with a full tank of gas, I think he said.  Smile

Shared a lane on the freeway until some nut cager slid between us as traffic bunched up toward Ryan Road.  Could not believe he was going there.  Thought we were closer together inline.  What some drivers do...

Nice ride this morning.  Home soon after donating white cells for a patient in need at the Blood Center.
