Might be able to try that tomarrow.

Rite now the bike is the only dependable mode of transportation i have rite now. The transfer case on the explorer went kaboom and i blew a rear brake line on the ranger. I plugged the master cylinder and all i have is front brakes for now.

The KLR would probbly work better in the snow than the FJR.

Rode to a friends house to clean the guns. Then did some wild card photo tagging. Tonight rode to caribou coffee in downtown for a warm drink. And hit NO rain all day.

Just wondering...do they salt the roads near you? Up here, everything's white, like the Bonneville salt flats. You can see metal corrode before your very eyes. Crazy

While I love being a firefighter, work has not given me the opportunity to ride in the past few days.  I have the next two days off (New Years Eve and New Years day) and I plan to ride.  No plan.  Just ride.  Any one in the Starved Rock area chime in.

After the Bears win i went out and put on 60 miles. Cold but the gerbings had no problem keeping up. All i can say is with the stupidity on the roads yesterday new years eave should be pure carnage.

The sun was out and it was 38 deg. so i took a look at the radar and it showed the "rain" 100 miles south of me so i got the bike out and hit the start button and rode west towards Barrington hills.

Some clouds move in but that was expected.

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o187/mxvet57/POSTING%20PICKS/100_9345.jpg

Had lunch here.
http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o187/mxvet57/POSTING%20PICKS/100_9372.jpg
Had the beef sandwitch. They do it rite.

When i was leaving it started to snow. And not just lite snow they were some big flakes. This is going to get interesting.
http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o187/mxvet57/POSTING%20PICKS/100_9375.jpg

I took US14 all the way home because i figure with all the traffic it would help keep the snow from accumulating.

It was a slow ride (kept it under 40) home but i made it. My driveway was the worst part of the ride.
