Not to thread jack, but everyone actually looked pretty good. One kid, swear to god, he got about 8 inches taller and 8 inches less wide. He was also wearing shiny silver pants, so take that for what you will. (did I just call him a kid? I guess I'm referring to his high school self...)
It was likely an imposter.
Anyway, I recommend going. Very good catching up with some of the people. Some were a bit odd, and some I had completely forgotten about (a lot of them) but only a few had picked up riding since high school. (keeping it motorcycle related you know...)

I'll always think of the quote from "Gross Pointe Blank" about his reunion: "Everyone's the same. They just ... swelled."
One of my very, very favorite movies.

Hey, I said I'm still off. Party didn't end until after 6am. Ran out of beer, ran out of bourbon, moved on to Vodka. Ouch. Thank goodness for daylight savings time. Left the spouse at home, of course, not that she had much interest in coming.
There was also a woman who came out of the closet a few years ago and apparently groped a bunch of women she must have had a crush on in high school. 5 uncomfortable women later, if that were a man, he'd be in jail.
Someone may still file a complaint. I bet she lives out of state.

Wow - you make class reunions sound so.... disgusting!
Seriously, I have some HS friends on FB and can see what they're up to, but most of them are married and have kids and still live in the same boring, dying, conservative town we grew up in (and are happy there
). I can't imagine spending an evening with them. Well, actually I could, in a weird, voyeristic way

Our high school had various cities/villages of vastly differing values, from dirty blue collar to wealthy stuck entitled people - haves and have nots.
A few groups (like me and my boys) reigned free among all groups and maybe that had something to do with having so much fun. The guys I hung out with were average, blue collar guys, but I was also friends with the kids I was in class with (honor and AP clases) so there were a lot of people to catch up with. No fights broke out, and the only people fooling around was another girl who came out of the closet and died her hair bleach blond who wanted to show off her similarly blond girlfriend and broadcast her pride in her gayness (and her girlfriend, who was kind of manly looking, although 6 foor and blond...).
I am a huge proponent of reunions.

Been luck myself a time or two. Even received a verbal warning in Wisconsin. Officer did not even ask for my license or insurance. But when I saw him coming and thought it might be for me I pulled right over and took off my helmet. Long story short he kept me at the side of the highway for some time. When I asked him if we were waiting for the person who tried to kill me go by, he said yes.

I didn't much care for the majority of kids I went to school with so, for me anyway, going to a reunion would be a huge waste of time.

I'll have to look up hirsute, but as with most of your posts, I likely agree. But again, no one really porked up. Most people looked close to the same. Must be in the midwestern water.

Only been pulled over once and got a ticket despite being totally respectful and having a spotless driving record. Cop spared me the lecture and basically said "You were speeding, you're getting a ticket, you can pay, take the class, or show up to court on this day. Ride safe." Did the class online the next day and had the ticket dismissed within 24 hours of getting it. I guess that if you want to play you had better be ready to pay.
There was a guy that rode with once who seemed to have a bit of a short fuse. The kind of guy who bragged about how fast he was an gave a lot of unsolicited advice. We were running a "go at your own pace" kind of ride with a pre planned re group spot at the end of the twisty bits. Of course when we get to the twisties this guy pulls a banzi pass on about 6 of us and takes off like a rocket ship. I have an enjoyable ride through the twisty bits; surprised that the officer who normally sits in the same spot every single weekend is missing. When I eventually get to the re group spot there is the missing officer putting the cuffs on Mr. Hot Head . Apparently calling a police officer a "F***ing pig" when he just nailed you for 35MPH over is not a good idea.

Must be the face then, because I am always polite, prepared, don't argue with them, maybe act a little surprised (that actually comes naturally when I *don't* know what the speed limit really is where I am)... plus, I'm a girl, and according to all of you guys on The Internets, I have it easy

When yer hair turns entirely gray (or, as my daughter refers to it, billet), the officer will, upon seeing your helmet removed, take his hand away from his service pistol, and ask, "do you think you can keep it down near town, Pops?"
This is a mixed blessing, to be sure, but it has the advantage of being affordable in the extreme.

Would it work if I dyed mine that color?
How about if I go to a reunion and eat a McRibb?

Did I tell you about my friend Dave? Dave And I got stopped in CT and upon seeing Dave's NY license, the cop asks "What are you doing here?". Dave EXPLODED and went on the mother of all rants that began with, "Did we just cross the border in to some communist country? What business of yours is it where we're going or why we are here?"
Dave and the cop argued while I sat on my bike and observed. The cop wrote Dave tickets for everything, including some stuff he surely made up and walked right past me to speed off in his patrol car. Never even checked my license. I was like, "Thanks Dave".

Never even checked my license. I was like, "Thanks Dave".
I had a "Thanks Dave" moment a few years ago.
I was following my friend Tim on some beautiful 2-laner in Virginia, on our way to Marlinton. We were cruising along at about 60-ish in a 40 (or 35?), a VA statey coming the other way. He lit up his radar, apparently, and u-turned around behind me. I moved over to the side of the road as he came flying up and blew past me and flagged Tim.
I moved back out into the lane, and went around the cop and Tim and continued on a few miles to the next town. At the far end of the next town, I found a parking lot, pulled in, took off my helmet and sat down, waiting. Eventually Tim came up, no cop in tow, and told me that the cop was pissed I didn't stop, too. Said he was going out after me... I guess he gave up before getting thru' the little town.
Tim had a mandatory court date.
Thanks, Tim.

I, too, would share my "Thanks, Dave" story.
But the Part of Dave was played by my wife.
Wouldn't be prudent.

A month and a half ago, I was traveling through AZ, on my way to CA. There was a lot of traffic on the road and the cars I was following were going 60mph, tops in a 65. Every time a passng lane came up, all of a sudden everyone is doing 70.
So finally I'd worked my way up so I had only a couple of cars ahead. The next passing zone was fairly shot and the same thing happened. I just took off around them before the lane ended. Next thing I saw was a state patrol car behind me. So I slowed from 72 or so, my normal speed in this kind of traffic, to 65 and at the next decent place to pull off, he lite me up. After I stopped I took off my helmet to reveal my gray hair and 64 year old face. I was very respectful and polite too. So he got all my papers and went back to his car. When he came back he handed me a ticket for 92 mph and said that he could take me to jail.
It's still not resolved, but I'm hoping to get it reduced. Oh yeah, he also said " if you can't pass at the speed limit, you shouldn't". BTW, I don't look at the speedo when I am passing.
Maybe I shouldn't wear all black leather, black helmet and dark shield.
