Deb is in town (cuz our holiday lights are better), and says someone (who isn't the Lurker) told her to call for coffee at Anodyne.

Um...so...I guess I'm calling coffee for her, who is calling it for someone else....yeah.

Anyway, 10am.

Locally - roads are wet but snow free. Black ice will be a problem, especially on side streets. Cages are always welcome when intelligent, sane people know not to ride (and mocked at other times, of course).

Roads are snow-free? Lol  Plow hasn't been through here, yet. 'Course, I live in the wilds of Greenfield.  Bigsmile

I saw a salt truck out at 10pm last night. It might have something to do with it.

We went - He who Lurks also appeared. We talked about traveling, and Waffle House, and he and Deb talked about house stuff that I only sorta paid attention too.

After this we went to the Public Market. Deb has always wanted to go, she admitted it wasn't quite what she was expecting. I had no expectations. But there were these -

Some of them were just amazing

All the pics are here-

And worth seeing. The houses are there until at least Thursday, and include a silent auction.

There was also a fish mart, mostly local stuff but there were also these-

We talked about eating there, but the quality of Classic Slice pizza in Bayview drew us out. I didn't take any pictures, other than this one

St. Paul Fish is a great place to dine... if you're into seafood. Bigsmile  The steamed mussels are wonderful and a good deal @ $6.95.

Further proof that yes, indeed, people do lurk in all kinds of places...

My cinnamon mocha was beautiful!  And yummy!

Props to the Bears for the season they've put together to date...especially since they had to steal one from the Lions in Week #1...
But the games begin to count now...and Chicago has the dubious honor to lining up against the Patriots next week.  Should be a very interesting test of how much they have improved over the course of the last year.

The one team I'd least like to face next week?

The JETS!
After being bitch-slapped / exposed / embarrassed by the Pats on MNF last night, they'll be looking to commit felony assault next week.  Methinks that little ole Rex Ryan does not like to be embarrassed...especially after publicly talking this game up as a "changing of the guard" type match-up....and he'll have his team revv'ed up and raring to go on the 12th.
