I guess this means that bringing my Hemi Charger is out?

It's smaller than a Goldwing, so should be OK  Lol

Only if you show up on the back seat of one Smile

I rode a goldwing to the Meet in Silver City two years ago and it was the most interesting bike at the Rally.

this is why a gold wing can pull a trailer, for lots of beer and peanuts and other snacks:beerchug:

I invited my Gold Wing buddies but theirs are not as nice as the one in the picture.

OH prolly about here:

2011 - Spring Rally Red River New Mexico May 13 - 15, 2011

. . . . .

Base Elevation 8,750'
Phoenix AZ  585 miles
Albuquerque 168 miles
Amarillo 285 miles
Dallas 650 miles
Denver 260 miles
Lubbock 416 miles
Oklahoma City 520 miles
  Bigok

Just kidding around of course; but I suspect many have been planning since the moment the location and date were officially set.

Maybe I will contact the locals and find out.

If you come early you can become an esteamed Group leader since you will know the way.

We have several on this thread that say they are coming and know the area. We can promote them to the roll of "Adult Leader" and let them plan the routes.
What you say? Justin ? cruisin? Kneescrubber?

 Lol  "Adult Leader"

I'll make my final decision in the next week or two if I'll be able to make it, looks good for now. But I'd definitely be happy to put together some rides if so.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!  EEK! . . . .

Just kidding: I don't mind the idea of leading a ride but a few things to consider might be:

1.  I'm not 100% in on this yet; still waiting to see grandkids' sports schedules for the spring.

2.  If I do go and agree to lead a ride, I'm not sure that many will want to ride the pace I take when setting out looking for good photo-ops.  My typical routine when searching for things to photograph is to drive right around the speed limit most of the time.  I then make frequent and sometimes lengthy stops to shoot pictures.  I have been known to spend as much as two hours getting just the right shot of an adobe mission against a cloud-filled deep blue sky.  Just not sure if that fits into the psyche of a group whose main theme is "home of triple digit sightseeing".

3.  I'm also not real keen on crowded places, so Taos and any other location that has heavy traffic congestion will be avoided like the plague in favor of deserted back-roads.

Like I said, I'm willing to lead a ride but it won't be a putt putt stop and take pictures ride.
