For all the fun we have poking, well, fun, at the silly and at the absurd on Craigslist there are some real finds that pop up and one of them may be just the thing that someone has been searching for. I think that sharing of the rare gems might be a good thing.

For instance, I found this today on the local:

Wow, yeah, not many survivors in that crowd. Good on him for keeping it in nice shape.

Still needs work, but it's a great starting point, if Turbos are your thing.

Absolutely they are collectible and fun. I had two of the ZX750E's and tinkered with them for several years. We need a modern factory turbo on a small engine.

I wish I could post up the ad for my '98 ST2 but the seller deleted it. It started at 4 grand, a week later it went to $3500. 5 days later the seller dropped it to $3k "this weekend only" and I went and picked up my new "ST light". 10k miles, big 12k service done with new belts and tires, Ducati topcase and a few other extras. Sold my ST1100 2 days later for the same amount - gotta love CL.

Every once in a while, Craigslist will have a really decent deal. I bought my Moto Guzzi off of a Craigslist ad, and it was priced at least as well or better than eBay listings on similar Eldorados.

I wish I could figure out a way to search all of Craigslist, regardless of location. It always steers me to Buffalo, so I haven't found a way to do a nationwide search.

This is one Bad Bike,1984 v-65 sabre .Set speed records when introduced to market. Top speed over 165, 1/4 mile 11.3

Is there any truth to that? If so I was not aware they were that fast   Crazy  that's smoking fast for a bike without a fairing

Yeah, they were that fast. In 1982 Cycle tested the v65 magna and pulled a 10.92 quarter - I beleive it set a record. That's still pretty damn quick, only 1 second slower than the fastest bikes of today.
