You know, I just don't get it. Reading many of the "weather" comments here (not just you, Chris) I'm wondering if we really all went to the same WCRMs?  Headscratch  Seriously, I've been to all of them from '04 -09 and while they weren't all 70* and sunny, I can't bring up the memories of miserable weather like you guys can Shrug

I even have pictorial evidence! http://dantesdame.smugmug.com/MotorcycleTrips-1/STN-WCRM

Which year did you do Happy Camp road?  Or how about riding up 299 on the way out and seeing the temp at 30 degrees with fog?

Best of luck!

Looking at the weather radar on what would have been my route down today, I would not have been happy.  The weekend forecast for Eureka would have kept me unhappy.  Maybe when I was younger...   No, I was a wimp even then.

edit:  Supposed to be sunny and temps in the upper 70's here at home.  I'll just have to live with that  Sad

Satisfying though, isn't it?  Give yourself 'til a week after you're home; that's when it really hits home on how great the ride was  Thumbsup  (and you start planning the next one... )

Looking at the weather radar on what would have been my route down today, I would not have been happy.

Same here, it rained all night and was still going strong at 8:00 AM, with wind and 52 degree temperatures...and it probably would have been about the same conditions for the entire day on my route.  I'm glad I stayed home.

Here in a cabin at the riverwalk

Great ride up, HY1 to 101. Almost no traffic the whole way Thumbsup
Every cage I got behind gave me the pass as soon as possible, not sure why but mighty nice anyway.

Little rain on the ride up, more like light drizzle than rain. Enough to get the visor wet but not enough to run off the visor. Bet it will be a different story tomorrow.
Fuck it, I have ridden in the rain before bet I will again after this weekend.

Did a pass through the motel parking lots, mine was the only bike to be seen.

If no one shows up I will be eating & drinkin alone

I found him here at the brewery. He's a little frazzled, but he's starting to come around.
