So where's all this great planning going on? It's two months away.

The planning is over, we have dates, location, and reservations. What we do not have is very many attendees...does anyone else plan to attend this year?

Good point. What day are you showing up and where are we going to ride on Saturday?
I've got the brewery covered for Friday and Saturday night.
I'm not sure how many people are planning to attend, but if we get enough it would be nice to get a tee shirt order together. I'm not sure how many shirts it takes to make a minimum order or who to use. Anyone? I was thinking about asking the Skipper if we could use the new logo along with "WCRM 2011" but if anybody has any better ideas chime in.
So, what we need is more of this:

Peter at Desteenation.com (damn, I can't even recall his STN name any more!) has always done our shirts, but I think he needs about 30 or so for a run. I don't know if you'll get that many, so it might just be worth someone's while to upload a design to CafePress for shirts. The quality isn't as good as Peter's, and I don't know about the price, but at least that way you're not committing to a minimum number of shirts
I can send you the new logo if you need it
Wish I could join you guys, rain and all

Yeah, I'm not sure we'll get twenty people the way things are going. I think I will try some of the local shops too, if you could send the logo that would be great.
Want to buy a tee shirt?

I think the back and forth banter over the winter turned a few people off, but I think more people will get excited about the weekend as it gets closer. It will all come together and we'll have a great time, I am sure!

Don't know if I can make it this year, but I've heard of a local silk-screening outfit that's local that seems pretty reasonable.
http://www.logousa.com/
Read about them here-
http://www.redding.com/news/2011/feb/26/small-business-homegrown-firm/
Check 'em out. All that's needed is a design that can be uploaded to their site.
Oh, BTW, Cottonwood is almost dead center in the big 299-36 loop (nudge-nudge).

I could certainly give it a shot. Never really taken my RF more than about 30 miles
but REALLLY want to. We should set up some staging points along the way to meet up with more and more people... Definitely one in portland since they have the highest number of breweries per capita in the USA...and I love beer.

You'll fit right in.
We have many members around Portland that will probably show up. Keep watching the board.

That's the thing. We here in Region One are like cats, and herding us together is nigh impossible. As the date nears, more and more of us will make our intentions to attend clear, and at least 1/3 of the people who do show up will have never mentioned their plans at all.

Heck, don't fret. A few years back another STNer and I rode up from San Ysidro (About 75 feet from the border with Mexico) and it was 1013 miles in 23 hours and 57 minutes of solid riding to get there. Mostly in the heavy rain, too.

...and uphill both ways?
Seriously, I used to make the ride down from Seattle every year just fine. Beat it down I-5 to Grants Pass and then take the fun roads from there on down

It's even longer if you do it right.
We usually take a long day to Florence then another long day to Fortuna.

Do the ride down in 2 days and take the roads less travelled.
Boise's about ~675 miles from Fortuna, and I've always gone home in one day. Takes about 14 hours, including stops.
