on friday I thought I would never ride again. now I'm thinking about the kootenay
s (sp) I'm tired. pics and info tomorrow.
I'm a real sport-tourer now!!!
Told ya so!
Yes, head north next time. The northern contingent is one of the best - and the roads aren't too shabby, either

good morning! I rode up the coast and into Portland to have dinner with my niece. Going to catch up with Opus for lunch and then decide where to ride to today. I am thinking of Crater Lake because I haven't been there in years. Or maybe east. Or north...

Hmmm... Maybe I should do something out of character and ask about that. We already reached a dead end on Titlow Rd due to snow.

Hey endo, where's the pics?
Endo is currently making his way towards John Day, courtesy of The Dalles, Antelope, Fossil and Spray.
I have such a hard time listing those last three with a straight face. Hehe.

Yep, sort of... Got to Fossil but the pumps were closed. Since I was so low on fuel I went north to Condon. Decided to get a room here at an old motor lodge. The restaurant in town was already closed so I zapped a burrito at the mini mart and bought a 6er of good beer. My favorite road today was 216 along the Deschutes River

ok, here we go:
Started thursday morning very excited. had a couple cups of coffee and was ready to go. I packed up the night before, so there was just a few things to load up and I was on my way!
made it to the ferry docks in good time.
after cruisin for a bit, I noticed that it was sunny out! time to take a pic to rub in the faces of all the naysayers
stopped in seabeck because it was just purty
Picked up a tent along the way and took a pic before crossing the border into oregon. it was very windy
ran into a couple pedalbikers that were on their way to eureka from everett and took a pic looking over tillamook
my home for the night in Hebo
had to stop along the way to adjust a few things
made it to fortuna, a little worn out, andrew was kind enough to help me out with a place to stay...his gs in pic
we took some amazing roads. the likes that I have never seen. I thought I knew how to ride pretty good, till these old people learned me a thing or two
That's pretty much all the pics that I have. I left sunday morning in a hurry. Made it all the way from fortuna through the fun parts of 199 and only saw 4 cars...had the road to myself to try out my new found talents. went from eureka to the end of the good stuff (56mi) in 1 hour. That is an average of 60 mph through some intense twisties. You guys changed my life
ok, I gotta go back to work now

Thanks for the pictures! Made me think of my younger days when I still had some "adventure" in me.
btw- Loved how your white luggage rain covers matched your bike
Just so you know I'm not laughing AT you, I'll re-post this picture of me when I first started "sport-touring" and had the adventure, before I got soft.
