ran into a couple pedalbikers that were on their way to eureka from everett and took a pic looking over tillamook
Nice pics! You'll never forget going on that trip for as long as you live. Good stuff. =)
I do believe you're looking down on Manzanita in this pic, not Tillamook. That overlook is pretty unique on the coast.

Cvergi01, looks like you had a great time. I remember my first time going to Fortuna, great experience a little wet at times but hey, its an adventure.
The people that you meet at these gatherings, well what can I say, you won't meet a better group.
Hope to catch up to you sometimes at some meet.

I'll re-post this picture of me when I first started "sport-touring" and had the adventure, before I got soft.
And look at how clean the bike is! Some things never change...

That's one of the signs of a really good trip. Glad you enjoyed coloring in your map!

An old friend was going through some of her old pictures recently, and sent me one of me washing that same bike outside of her house. I guess I used to stop by people's houses for a visit, and wash my bike while I was there. The hair and clothing of the era (1976) is too funny. I'll have to scan that photo.

Xfile and I were passing through Spray, OR this morning (during our warm rain tour) and spotted Endo eating breakfast. He said he had been having a fun ride in Central Oregon but was on the way home; would probably get back late today or tomorrow.

Yep, sort of... Got to Fossil but the pumps were closed. Since I was so low on fuel I went north to Condon. Decided to get a room here at an old motor lodge. The restaurant in town was already closed so I zapped a burrito at the mini mart and bought a 6er of good beer. My favorite road today was 216 along the Deschutes River
So there's gas in Fossil (daytime hours)? Do you remember if there's gas in the other towns along that east-west route (Spray, Monument, Long Creek)? I'm headin' up there tomorrow, but it's been awhile since I've been through.
TIA!

There is gas in Spray (regular only) and Monument (regular and premium). Nothing in Long Creek.
Gas in also available in Unity, Austin Junction, Dayville, and Mitchell.

New chains don't stretch unless they are so cheap they should not even be on a 900. That red dust looks like an indication that the chain is an O-ring that has lost its internal lube and is worn out...which is when they start to stretch.
