Lots of good advice here, so I won't rehash what's already been said.

Congrats on the decision to go to a JP school, he's a great guy and a great teacher, he's been refining his schools for years and has a great methodology. Go with open ears and an open mind and you'll have a blast.

Here are my additional tips to get the most from your day.

-Take some gatorade, propel, or bananas to help replenish your electrolytes. You're going to probably sweat like a mad man and staying ahead on the electrolytes will help you last through the entire day. (Kiwi's are good too)
-Start hydrating a couple of days before you go. If you don't have to pee at the track you're not drinking enough.
-The first day will be a bit of information overload, so make some session goals and stick to them. (this is one of the reasons I like the Keith Code schools so much, they only teach one concept per session so you can stay focused on one thing at a time). Don't try to combine all the things your coaches tell you to do all the time.

- Hit the apex

rather than:
Slide butt off before breaking, find the brake marker, now squeeze the lever just so, blip down 2 gears,  knee out, look through the corner, smooth steering input, ok now feed in some throttle here, hit the apex, etc etc etc etc.

Riding on the track is so much fun, but I've seen my fair share of riders try to accomplish too much on the first day, it's not a contest, its a personal pursuit so take some time to enjoy it. It's so freeing to ride this fantastic twisty road over and over again with no traffic and no distractions!

Have fun and be sure to give us a post ride report once it's done.

Lots of good advice here

You said it, thanks to everyone who chimed in here  Thumbsup. A ride report will follow the day asap.

Will definitely be wearing ear plugs, can't stand riding without them anymore.  Gatorade, chair, and EZup are coming along.  Spare fluids, gas, and tools are on the list, and most of the questions I've had have been addressed here (along with some things I didn't think about).

The only thing I'm still undecided on is tire pressure.  I called Michelin on track pressure for the power 2cts I put on, but the person I spoke with had no info.  The best I can tell 32/30 seems to be the popular starting point.  The temps are forcast @ 89* and the Tiger and myself are no light weights, so I'll ask at the track.  I figure I'll check the pressure after each session and adjust by the 10% rule, that should keep me in the ballpark.

Really looking forward to the learning process.  I have know expectation of where I'll slot speed wise in the group, so I'm just planning on starting at the upper part of my comfort zone and seeing what kind of improvements I can see through the day. The only part that I'm thinking will freak me out will be the ride on the back of JP bike.  I've seen R. Mamola take people around Laguna, and that's gotta be pretty intense as a pillon. Should be a real eye openner  EEK!.
