My Uncle sent me this email from a friend of his that used to race:   Thumbsup

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e92nOzQc7o8&feature=related

Here’s what it was like “Back in the Day” and Yes, I unloaded like that more times than I care to remember but am reminded of them when I move incorrectly at times! (;-) I also raced with most of the people in the video as these were taken during my racing career. Also keep in mind that compared to today’s Motocross or SuperCross bikes, these bikes were just like what you are riding on the street. They didn’t have 10”s of shock travel etc. The back was rigid and the front forks had about 2” of travel.

Class C racing, as that was called, was a truly American form of the sport.
I used to wrench for a couple of the riders and traveled the eastern circuit quite a bit. They ran 1/2 mile, 5/8 mile and "the" mile....That was my favorite!
Thanks for posting that...Hank
