I touched lucky on ebay and got this seat from a former Versys owner who hadn't even used it on the bike before he sold said bike.
He said, "I purchased a separate secondhand little used Versys base- this was taken to Bradford Motorcycle Seat Works & was 'reprofiled' - so there is more support at the front to stop you sliding forward.
In addition the seat base is also slightly wider.
The seat is approx 25mm higher than standard.
The seat foam is multilayered to minimise 'numbbum' and to be more supportive, Damien the chap at BMSW advised this conversion was much more comfortable than a gel con
I picked the seat up in person - the work looks top quality."
I've only sat on it in the garage (weather is crap) and my bumometer tells me that it's definitely nicer than the stock perch. Time will tell, but importantly, I don't have to wait on the UK Sargent supplier getting their act together (still not available this side of the pond) and it cost me less than half the price that the Sargent will probably cost.

Have to say that the quality is brilliant and hopefully it will be kinder to my bum than the oe perch.
