On paper they both are very similar. Identical weight, suspension, prices are only about $200 apart, ect... The only difference I see is the 450 has 3 oil pumps to the 530s 2.

Has anyone ridden both? Are there any seat of the pants recommendations of one over the other?

Man this question has gone a while with out a response...

I've rode both, I have a 530. There very similar, in fact if you don't have a good bit of riding experience you probably couldn't tell the difference.
For me....the 530 pulls harder at lower revs (torque). You don't have to be on the pipe to go fast. The 450 kinda the same...but you have to keep it reved a bit more to keep good power on hand.
The 530 will just flat out "lug" "chug" the 450. Other than that theres not much difference.
