I have also posted this to ADVrider.
Me and my riding buddy do a couple of trips to mainland Europe every year. The only problem is that living in Southern Ireland, at the far reaches of Europe, it takes us a couple of days ferries and motor-way riding to get where we want to be. We're both family men and working stiffs so a week is as much as we can take in any chunk. We've thought about flying to our destinations and renting bikes but the costs are prohibitive. So, we're thinking that there must be a couple of riders in Europe (France/Spain preferably) who would be interested in a week's bike swap. You come to Ireland and have full use of our bikes to tour on for a week and in return for us doing likewise on your bikes in your country. All i's dotted and t's crossed, insurance sorted etc.
I ride a nicely set up CBR1100XX Blackbird an my buddy rides an equally well set up XLV1000. We're thinking of sometime in August for our trip. Trips don't have to coincide.
