So like the title states. It's time to get planning. We do need to do it before the second week in September to guarantee reasonable weather. No snow in October in Chester ok?
. Chester is ok just no snow again.

Ok, how'd you go from "Chester!" to "Baker City" in a matter of a couple of posts?
And might it not be too hot there at the end of August?
Baker City, btw, was a great location back in '06

If you go to Hells Canyon on the day ride you'll go into Idaho with the only way out us back through WA. It's been one of the day rides we've done when at baker city.

I quite like the idea of Baker
I have not spent enough time in the WCRM thread to understand wtf the issue is ? WCRM 11.5 .... 11.75 ... what is the deal and all the introspection ? You announce a ride intention and either folks sign in or not. Like ...
I hope to make the WCRM next june .... but have never made one yet due to year end work issues. But that is my issue ...
I still say Baker deserves and end of summer meet.
(spits to emphassis his point) There no credibility, WCRM newbie rant off ....

So... Baker city - is it OR or ID?
Which fine lodging establishment do we usually grace with our presence? If we don't have a place already, I'll start researching. How many hotel/motels can this place have?

Looks fantastic!
Do we call the hotel(s) and warn them? (and maybe get a group rate?)

Specifically this post -
http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,64469.msg1485614.html#msg1485614
I don't know why I'm posting in this thread - not like I'm going to be there. Just reminds me of the pains of trying to do the legwork to start a meet and end up getting the short end of the proverbial stick. It's no fun.

This thread, and a few others on the WCRM.5, conjure up an image of someone standing on a railway platform waiving a damp hanky. Not sure why

This thread was originally the WCRM 2011.5 meet thread so I put an email notification on it. Just never took it off. So yeah I'm notified.
I actually was editing a quick video from a race yesterday. The race reminded me of my trip to the National. Go look in pit row soon if you want th elink.

You don't hafta take the high road, just don't bitch so much.
You bitched when the meet wasn't planned singularly around your schedule:
Quote
9/11 doesn't work for me....I have a race weekend. Great way to include someone.
You bitched when people tried to make it work for as many people as possible:
Quote
Thing is this isn't voters choice. This is your choice. If it was voters choice there wouldn't be 4 dates up there. People would just reply with the dates that they like.
Quote
democracy never got us anywhere...I posted a thread with the details...people didn't like it. So I canceled it. Done.

If you want to create a poll about a meet in a region you don't live in and a meet you won't attend. Be my guest. This isn't going to digress to polls though.
You bitched about WCRMs in general:
Quote
The pussification of the WCRM...
And then you threw in some general bitching:
Quote
I'm out...
Quote from: Mr Sunshine on June 28, 2011, 10:28:52 AM
*sigh* I quit. Please delete my account.
...and after all that, you accused DantesDame of bitching:

You guys should peruse the various WCRM thread titles (except this one; this one isn't helpful at all). But apparently there is to be
more than one WCRM.XX this year
. You can take your pick or pick them all! It's a WCRM Extravaganza!

You can make it. You can just work in the hotel room and I'll make sure your bike gets a good ride.

I'm confused. But 9/11 wouldn't work for me either. Still lurking to see if I can make this.

Waiting to see what plan actually materializes; would love to try and make it. I had planned on attending the WCRM in B.C. in '06 (IIRC) but had to turn back due to being a sissy about riding all week in the rain. Have gotten married and fathered twin boys (that have me riding little) in the meantime so I'm just getting back on here (STN.)
